All In Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Does Bracken County pick up their first win in 3 years in their home opener? Think the Bears only dress 20 or so, how is Carroll County this season? Know little about them. Thanks.
BigCatDaddy Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Kind of suprised Carroll is playing them. CC is a good program, they win by 5 or 6 TD's.
All In Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 If Bracken County beat Atherton in a scrimmage, that would be Bracken's first win of any kind in 3-4 years. How many does Carroll Co. dress?
BigCatDaddy Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Havent seen the panthers in a year or two, but I would guess close to 40.
footballhd Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 On another post they said Bracken beat Atherton like 42-6. Either Bracken is vastly improved or Atherton has dropped off the map.
Lunatic1 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Hope this game goes to Carroll County - to kick off their season. I am not familiar with Bracken Co. though. It is a long way to travel for the CC fans. I know a lot of the students are trying to find rides to support their team.
JBrown32 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Carroll had about 55 kids at the last scrimmage........:thumb:
willydidit Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 If not mistaken Bracken beat Bishop Brossart last year in a scrimmage but as far as an actual game I'm not sure the last win for the bears. As far as Atherton not sure what they have since Coach Collins left. I think he did a good job with what he had last year but I don't think either program will ever be solid. I wish both teams the best this season. As far as Carroll Co. they should be a solid team and I agree should run away with this one. First two weeks for the Polar Bears are very tough. Carroll County then Fairview but I know both coaches will try and keep it respectable if at all possible. Best of luck to everyone involved. (Also, you never know-thats why you play the game)
BornBCHS Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I hope that the game goes to Bracken to kick off their season. It would be a very big deal for them. They have had to work thru some issues with coaches & now it seems that things are improving & on solid ground. All of BC away games are atleast a 2+hr drive, but the faithful drives.

BornBCHS, how did Bracken look in their scrimmage? Based on the score, seems like they had a lot of success, but you can't base a lot on the score of a scrimmage. I wish them luck this season after going through 3 coaches since last year. Hopefully this guy wants to stay and build them.
THEDUDEABIDES Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I saw my alma mater scrimmage Bellevue last week, the Panthers looked really good against Bellevue. Carroll and Coach Weedman name the score in this one Carroll 55 Bracken 0
BornBCHS Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I thought they did ok but I'm not a football person. I'm there to support & listen to the team.

Agree, don't see how a team that dresses 20-25 players and 10 of them are freshman beats anyone that bad, scrimmage or not. Very embarassing loss for Atherton, they simply must not have anything. Maybe Bracken County beats Carroll County, the long drive does play into things. Bracken County stayed with Frankfort last season for the first half.
