sportsnut859 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Have at it. Just don't say the Panther's will win because that gets a little old.
Lunatic1 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I think Carroll County is 2-0 they beat Gallatin County this weekend. I have no idea on this game but I want the CC Panthers to win.
JBrown32 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 That is correct.....Carroll is 2-0 with W's over Bracken and Gallatin Counties.

Ram Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Sorry about that. Hopefully a mod can get that changed. Fixed.
sportsnut859 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Ludlow has an above average defense, and when they need a goal line stand watch out. Casey "The Run Stopper" Perry is a sophmore monster. He will plug up that middle and wont budge. Their problem however is in the offense. They have a lot to prove after week 1. The O line has to block for more than a quarter or two and ther QB desperately needs to look at more than 1 reciever. More than a few times against Taylor he had open recievers going down the middle of the field that he never even looked to before he ran. Those are the throws QB's dream of. That's something I'm sure the Ludlow coaches picked up on in films and will work on this week. In the end I'm not sure what CC has, but I see this one being a defensive grind it out type of game. It will be very competitive, and the team that keeps their composure (this game has gotten heated in the past) and capitalizes on the other teams lack of it will come out victorious.

Just wanted to add this. It is not for lack of size or coaching that this happened. I think Ludlow just hurts for depth this year and those kids were playing both ways and started feeling sorry for themselves. Players like Rice and the rest of the line won't like being called out for looking tired and will more than make up for it this week.
THEDUDEABIDES Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I saw Ludlow play this past week and they still got a lot of work to do. Besdies Drew Rice and Stegemoller(sp?), there wasn't much out of any Ludlow players. Taylor, who is average at best manhandled Ludlow's line, other than Rice. Carroll Co. is well coached and very disciplined. They will run and throw all over Ludlow this week. I look for Carroll to blow out the Panthers Carroll 48 Ludlow 13

He is a great DB and will be really good for Ludlow this year. He made a few good reads on the ball to break up passes and had one huge INT to end a scoring threat at the end of the half.
ccbaseball3 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I predict Carroll Co. Wins 20 - 7 Carroll Co. running game has been really good the last 2 games, Junior Zack Wise and Senior Andy Sisenstien has been superb carrying the ball. Defense has also stepped up when they have needed to, with the return of D'anthony Collins (who made a big time interception against Gallatin) the defense has improved dramatically. Correct me if im wrong but hasn't Ludlow won the last 7 games against CC? Anyways I believe it comes to an end this year.
Lakers22 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 CC should win this one. They need to continue to improve and not put the ball on the ground. Fumbles are the only way I see CC losing this one.
True blue (and gold) Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Carroll County has started off the season "in the zone" and I look for that to continue with this game, though I do predict a win by 2 TDs or less.
Raiders4907 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I do not have much insight on either of these two teams, however I do believe Ludlow will come out ready to play and shock the CC Panthers. Ludlow 27-20........

Before that Ludlow was on the 33 game losing streak before beaking it in something like the 3rd game of the season in 2004 on a Hail Mary pass as time expired against Eminence. They lost in week one that year to CC in a tight one at CC's place. Ludlow won in '05, '06, '07, and '08. All have been close games as these two always play a good one!:thumb:
Panther17 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I was at the Ludlow Game friday night and thought they played well. I thought the QB ran the ball well. I saw where he got injuried on one of the last plays of the game. I think he was holding his hand. I hope is fine and ready to go this Friday. Does anyone have an update on his condition?
