I agree with Tough as Nails - Bath has no speed.

Stevens has not been 100% all year. But if one is ever too optimistic about ones team. He only needs to read one of Ledgend's post. Always negative, no matter what the subject. I just hope Bath can stop the Mt. Sterling Thunder.

I have had the chance to take a tour of the new gym courtesy of Mr. Phil Rison. I have also attended numerous 10th Region Tournament games. There is no comparison between the two gyms. Montgomery's new gym has Mason's beat in every aspect with the exception of capacity. But when you factor in the fact that the people sitting in the top 15 rows at Mason Co. can't see the game because of the sweat in their eyes, it equals out. Montgomery is capable of hosting the best 10th Region Tournament ever - and will in the near future.

I'll find out from Marvin - he works for me. Still a brute!!! Strong as an ox!!!

Watsui - Most at Rowan Co. - I don't have the numbers. Around 4000/1000 Momcat, I'm just guessing but I doubt Rowan Co. or Bath Co. either one had any All-staters blocking for Wayne. Go ahead and tell me the 3 or 4 names your talking about if had the "chance". If I was 2 feet shorter and about 100 pounds lighter I'd have a "chance" to win the Kentucky Derby.

Fairview, Lexington Christian, Pairs yeah I see what you mean momcat "weak teams for sure" :confused: He had to sit out against Raceland "another really weak team" because of a hamstring injury. I don't care if you play JV squads every game 5000 yards is impressive. Plus he has been playing injured all year.

Wayne Stevens from Bath County needs 6 yards to get to the 5000 yard mark for his career. Wayne is a super kid. He works hard year round on and off the field and in the classroom. This will put him in with some select company. There are currently 28 members of the 5000 yard club according to the KHSAA. Great job Wayne! :thumb:

If Raceland goes to LCA for the District Championship - Raceland puts it out of reach in the third quarter. Raceland will win that game. If it is played. I have seen both play and have seen the film from their previous match up. Raceland is the better team. Raceland will need to play field position and not let LCA's kicking game hurt them and cause them to play on a long field all night. But trust me - Pairs and Bath County will be doing everything possible to see that the LCA / Raceland match up does not take place. Like I said 4 or 5 weeks ago when OldRambler and Cville misunderstood me - I'd rather see Bath Co. play LCA in the playoffs rather than Bath Co. play Raceland. Good Luck to all! Rowan isn't in Class A. This was a non-district matchup. Bath has to beat Berea at home next week and Nicholas on the road to earn a first round mathup with LCA.

It will be good to see Coach Baldridge. I always liked him and his wife Janie. They both taught me in school. They're good people.

I will take the latter - punish the Viking D. Wayne sat out last week and hasn't broke 100 yards rushing since Sept. 1st. Trust me this kid is hungry. Bath Co has an assistant coach that keeps them in the press box. Also a PDA is used on the sidelines to keep stats. They are compared in case one or the other misses a play. It also helps on tackles. The PDA software is Statware Football v6.0

He plays polite too. A guy that size in class A should dominate the line. He goes half speed. I'd take Nick Wilson #65 any day. LCA's line will have their way. LCA will have a big night passing. LCA 35 Paris 12

No injuries, but there was an ejection for both teams. So both players will miss this Friday's game. Unfortunate never the less.

Wed. Practice = No Wayne Stevens at Bath County.

Eagle - Wayne Stevens pulled his hamstring against Paris and didn't practice today and won't on Tueday. Doesn't sound good for Friday.

Talked to Wayne Stevens tonight at the Freshman game - he didn't practice today and won't on Tuesday. Although not as serious as first thought, it still doesn't sound good for Friday.

The snapper must have touched the ball before they moved back into postion. If they moved after the center touched the ball it would have been a false start.

The block in the back was obvious - they could have thrown another flag around the 5 yard line on the same play for blocking in the back. I think there was a lot of questionable no flags. Trumbo went out a few plays, but it's not that hard to hand the ball to Wilhite. Stevens went down with Bath 2nd and goal from the 4 to win the game. If Stevens don't come out of the game Paris is 4-2 insted of 5-1.

With Bath 2nd and goal from the 4 with 3 minutes to go Friday at Paris, Wayne Stevens injured his hamstring. Bad time for your horse to go down. Early indications are out two weeks. I'll try to keep you up to date. Without Stevens - it could be a long night for the Wildcats. Although he hasn't been racking up a lot of yards as late, the defenses have been keying on him hard, opening up other areas of the offense. Either way, I'd have to give a big edge to the Rams. Option Right is hallucinating - Bath came out as flat as possible for the first quarter and then outplayed them for three quarters. Bath had the game won but couldn't convert on 2nd and goal from the 4 with 3 minutes to go. In the first quarter it looked like Wilhite was going to run all over Bath and Bath stuck him pretty good in the 2nd Qrt and he laid down. In the last three quarters Bath had twice as many yards as Paris and Bath allowed Paris only 3 first downs. Give the kids from Paris credit they sucked it up when they had to but I'd guarantee that they don't want to play Bath again. Talk about shooting themself in the foot - Bath passed to the 1 yard line with 5 minutes to go and it was called back for ineligible receiver downfield. It was that official's only flag he threw for the night.
