  1. I think GRC will have trouble getting the ball up the court. They had a lot of trouble in the later part of the game against Christian Co. Knowles definitely didn't bring his A game yesterday. T. Jones was a beast in the first half. GRC seemed to get every board in the first half only to let Christian CO. have many second chance opportunities in the second half. Plus GRC missed a load of free throws down the stretch. At one point Knowles missed five in a row, I think, one being the front in of a bonus. Ballard didn't impress me much at all, outside of their athleticism. They couldn't hit layups. They do put a lot of pressure on the ball. If GRC can handle Ballard's defensive pressure, GRC wins. If they get rattled early could be a rough night for GRC. I think Knowles will step up tonight and Jones will be tough for Ballard to handle underneath. There will be a lot of turnovers in this one. GRC by 2
  2. Job? What Job? I don't have a "job" - I play poker for a living.
  3. My back is stiff - Thanks U Reach - I can use a bit of a stretch!
  4. The only solution to this problem is obvious: First - The new gym will need to be demolished Second - Hire Pressrow and Polarbear1994 to design the new gym Third - Contract bricklayer to build it (simply because he lays brick) Forth - Hire Starmayor to be the official seat counter Fifth - Hire U Reach I Teach to be a consultant Sixth - Give John Boy a job so he doesn't feel left out Seventh - Find something for ladiesbballcoach to do so he/she doesn't spend so much time on the computer And Last - Reserve CountryBoy7 a seat just in case On another note about this thread - to the guy talking about Daniel Brown not having a supporting cast. When Brown was shooting 50 shots a game it makes it tough for the supporting cast to be noticed.
  5. Blandon Clemons not Brandon You will hear his name plenty come football season! :thumb:
  6. If Russell controls the pace, which I think they will Russell wins. Russell 68 Elliott 63
  7. You're right, it is only 2 points. I may be wrong, but all of the high school games I've been to (maybe one or two ) a dunk seems to energize the crowd just a wee bit more than a breakaway layup. Chances are the guy on defense is going to take a step back next time, too. Could be my imagination, though.
  8. Gill is a very nice player. He had at least three big dunks and a few blocks.
  9. Blandon Clemons Bath came out with that "deer in the headlight look," they played OK once they knocked down a few baskets.
  10. I hate to hear that, I was really pulling for Rowan. I am a big Alvin Ratliff fan.
  11. Clemons and Metz combine for 90 points and Bath wins 73 -68. Oh wait, that don't add up. I just hope for a good game. And by the way - I thought two and done meant 2 wins and 1 loss.
  12. Sprained ankles - sounds like Curtis may be playing limited minutes.
  13. Montgomery County will be without two starters - Curtis and Utterback. Both were injured during practice earlier in the week and neither will be able to play tonight.
  14. I agree Einstein - The best food is always home cookin, and nobody does it better than Tim Moore and his home cookin. Best sour kraut around!
  15. Didn't Bath County just beat Lewis by 16 on Lewis County's court about a week ago?
  16. Bath Co. advances to the region for the first time in 8 years - I think. Blandon Clemons got into early foul trouble and spent a lot of time on the bench. Metz and Trusty played well down the stretch. With 4 minutes to go and down 6, Clemons led a 10 -0 run to put Bath out in front for good. Bath Co. will play Rowan Co. Thursday night for the district title. Good job Cats! :thumb:
  17. I'm no expert but I doubt there will be any movies shown during the 10th Region Tournament at Mt. Sterling next year. And if for some odd reason Phil decides to play Hoosiers in between sessions, he has a little over a year to figure out the A/V system.
  18. Bath County stays hot and beats Lewis County by 16. They now have won 7 of their last nine. Great job Cats!! Good luck Tuesday night in the district. :thumb:
  19. Bath County has won 6 of their last 8 games, with wins over Raceland, Morgan, Rowan, and East Carter, after starting the season 2 and 14. Clemons has been lighting it up the last few games. Finale score on the game tonight was Bath 58 - East Carter 44. Nothing like a good dose of confidence heading into post season. :thumb:
  20. I thought there were some great games and great teams at this years Prep Classic. What a great event. Ira Combs should be commended for the job he does with this. It is my understanding that he was pleased with the way things went at Montgomery Co. and that it will be back there next year. As far as Montgomery's gym....WOW!!! What an awesome facility. I have been told that, while the official seating capacity is less than Mason County's Fieldhouse, it can hold just as many people and perhaps a few more. When the Fieldhouse was built, the building codes were different, and now the seats are required to be 6" wider when counting for seating capacity. I was at the GRC / Montgomery game Friday night and was told that the crowd was around 3500. They could have easily handled another 1000-1500 people. Looking forward to seeing how things go at the 2008 regional tournament there.
