Any details?

I did hear the first quarter on the radio and I believe Russell was up 17-0 at one point.

Russell did jump out to a 17-0 lead. Bath Co. fought back and got to within 8 in the 4th qtr. but could get no closer. Bath finished the season really strong and will have a lot of talent coming back next year with Clemmons and Metz both underclassmen.

The Russell relax?

Congratulations to Russell on the win.

Hats off to the Bath County team on a great effort and to the player from Bath County that was named Player Of The Game. ( I apologize for not remembering his name). If anyone has it please post.

41-16 Russell at the half. Anyone have the stats.

Player of the game went to Brandon Clemmonts. I may have spelled name wrong. He had about 22-24 points; 7 rebounds; and 10 assists. Great game and a very good kid; he plays his heart out.

Stats (Highlights)

Russell -- 20 21 12 20 --73

Bath Co - 5 11 18 25 -- 59

Bath Co 21 of 55 from field

Russell 29 of 50 from field

Clemons -- 6 of 21 from field (11 of 12 FT) 24 points 10 rebounds

Metz -- 7 of 14 from field (2 of 5 long range) 18 points

Gill --8 of 12 from field (2 MONSTER dunks) 18 points

Robinson --6 of 12 from field (2 of 5 long range) 14 points --9 boards

Ferguson -- 4 of 6 from field (2 of 3 long range) 13 points

Russell had a 27 point lead with 2:10 to go in the 3rd

Bath went on a 25-6 run to cut the lead to 8 with 4 minutes to play

Russell kicked it back in high gear and Bath never got any closer than 10 the rest of the way

Gill coming back from mono is a big boost. He may be one of the best dunkers in the state. The kid is very athletic.

Blandon Clemons

Bath came out with that "deer in the headlight look," they played OK once they knocked down a few baskets.

Gill is a very nice player.

He had at least three big dunks and a few blocks.

Its still a 2 pointer. :walk:

Russell 62

You're right, ia dunk is only worth two points. That being said, when someone dunks over you, IMO it demoralizes the team "dunked on" and picks up the team "dunked with". Wouldn't you hate having someones crotch at eye level while their hanging on the rim and you standing by knowing you can't possible get up that high. Something "athletically" wrong with that picture.;)

After missing several games, Gill's on a tear with 6 dunks in the last 2 games. If his rebounding and defense come alive the rest of the tournament, Russells back to Rupp.

Its still a 2 pointer. :walk:

I may be wrong, but all of the high school games I've been to (maybe one or two  ) a dunk seems to energize the crowd just a wee bit more than a breakaway layup. Chances are the guy on defense is going to take a step back next time, too.

Could be my imagination, though.
