  9. I played in this game, and I enjoyed it being during the summer months. Having a full week of 3-a-days certainly helped us from a team aspect. This is only possible if kids are not in school. You move this game to mid december or january and now you've got to deal with transportation, basketball, and lack of practice time because of school. Some may say that playing in the summer may interfere with college preparation, but I don't buy it. "Interfering with the scheme/playbooks" is a sketchy excuse at best. What coach would be willing to put their entire playbook in the hands of an 18 year old incoming freshman? Really? Don't know why Kentucky chose to have the in-state game to right after the season????? Fault=Who cares Rather see our all stars play against another state...
  10. I have to agree. The only real difference I can see between these two teams is the way they play the 2nd half. BG gets more done than JH in the later stretch of the game.
  11. Although both teams run the wing-t, they are far from identical. Warren Central utilizes the jet series far more often than JH, but they do it well. I do think that JH has a much more potent offense though...
  12. I heard the same thing about "the administration's lack of interest in football." I believe one of these administrators is now a superintendent at Nelson County. :ohbrother:
  13. This should be a great game. I think DeMichael Jackson will get loose and get Jtown this victory. Jtown 35 North Bullitt 20
  14. Agreed. BG just too much. BG 42 GW 7
  15. North Hardin will come to play. I think it will be closer this time. John Hardin 27 North Hardin 14
  16. I think CC has enough talent to pull the upset, but I don't they've been consistent enough to justify a victory. WC gets the W. 35-27
  17. What talent? They had a few good teams in the 90's. I just don't see them competing with the likes of Boyle, Lexcath. Sure they'll compete with Marion and Taylor, but most others do too. This will do nothing for athletics in Nelson County IMO. The superintendent is not very supportive of athletics, as evidenced by the drastic demise of his former tenure at Dunbar. Just my opinion.
  18. Dividing what little talent Nelson County has is not a good thing, no matter what class they play in.
  19. I had the opportunity of playing with Skirvin, Menetrey and Frisk(all for varied amounts of time). Of those three, I'd say Frisk had the most talent. Another possiblity would be Anthony Boggs at Nelson County. Frisk and Boggs were mirror images of each other.
  20. Looks like Trinity may need to back off that brutal schedule after next year....back down to earth(relatively speaking)
