  1. My team is losing this week. I've read these posts, I realize I'm wrong. JH has a weak schedule. The entire western bracket is hot dog water. Litkenhaus is wrong. HHS wins by more than 21. I'm gonna say they hang 50on JH. JH has never seen carpet before, they'll be completely humbled by the bluebirds. :sssh:
  2. Disagree...Highlands will hang 50 on John Hardin. After reading these posts, I've changed my mind. There is no way JH keeps this close. Mueller by whatever he wants. :thumb:
  3. And most of those 100 yards came on one QB scramble. And no the backup isn't fast. BG's quarterback would run circles around him. JH played St.X in 2005. They had more speed than St.X. St.X won the battle in the trenches...just as Highlands will. I've seen your tailback and kick returners...they're usually your quickest players on the team. Impressed, but not overly. :thumb:
  4. That's what Bowling Green said.
  5. Wore JC down....ha! Why didn't they just put all 11 in the box...how one dimensional can one team be? Johnson Central was hard-nosed, don't mistake that for talent or balance
  6. I think JH may be better than Johnson Central....
  7. I love the NKY optimism....21 points is a pretty big margin of victory. That's about what you hung on Johnson Central correct? This JH team aint no Johnson Central...or Ryle.:thumb: Good Luck Birds.
  8. I gotta go with Marion/Lone Oak
  9. Gotta agree DawgPound. Highlands is #1 no question. The state runner-up is on the line this week. In 2007 same scenario...BG advances to get a butt-whoopin in the finals. I think this year, the dawgs can advance to receive the prestigous honor known as kickin of the butt.:notworthy:
  10. JH hasn't played a very tough schedule...I would have to agree. BG won some games against a tough Owensboro team, and a down CC team. Their loss to Warren Central is the only glaring eyesore. I only say this b/c Warren Central happens to run the Wing-T(Same as JH). I believe Warren Central is in their first year with the new offense. And they beat Bowling Green with a freshman quarterback. BG and JH both have stout defenses. The offensive edge has to go to JH. BG...just not as balanced. I'll say JH in a tight one.... 35-28.
  11. Of course Matt Brown means well...I never said he didn't. I just thought his article in the News Enterprise came off cocky. I'm terribly sorry for posting my opinion Colonel Mike. :notworthy:
  12. You probably don't know many coaches. I'm sure Matt Brown and a few others you've interviewed have given you the answers everyone wants to hear (aka-straight up). I wonder what they're really thinking?
  13. Sounds like more coach's are adopting the Lane Kiffin approach....
  14. I agree hoosierbirdfan. You'll never have a definitive answer unless the state of Kentucky goes to a "round robin" system. Trinity, you're #1, St.X...so are you. Highlands #1, SK #1. You're all number one! Worst case scenario, if you are ranked 4th among those teams, you're not a loser, you're the last winner!!!
  15. If you had asked me the question, I would've sandbagged. This is considering it was from an underdog's perspective. This interview was written in The News Enterprise, not the Prospect Gazette. I wouldn't want anybody reading my interview answers to think I had any chance of winning. You do know these JH kids will read the paper too... It may just get my team overlooked that way. Let's face it, that may be an angle Oldham can win.
  16. I'm not aware that I had a fan base. JH's fans are sometimes a little over the top... I'm very aware of that. As an outsider, I've just noticed that Coach Matt Brown seems more confident than he did last year. Don't mean to imply anything. Just a simple observation from year to year.
  17. Colonel Mike, I am not attacking your coach's character. Coach Brown is a fine coach. I'm simply stating that he sounded rather confident when explaining this year's team. He said “I think our offensive line is better,” Brown said when asked how his team is different this season. That’s the thing about our offense is we have three backs and all three guys are going to get touches,” Brown said. We can run the same play with each one, but we get a different look." Not saying he said anything wrong, just saying I detected a hint of cockiness. I guess I should have said confidence. Just wondered if anyone else picked up on it...that's all. Sensitive!!!
  18. Couldn't help but think Coach Matt Brown might have a hint of arrogance in his voice. He could just be a very optimistic person. We'll see if its warranted pretty soon.:puke:
  19. Sorry Colonel....JH beats your boys. That's as confined as I can keep it.
  20. Easy.....I know Highlands is a great football team and all but....well nevermind. I'm fighting a losing battle on this site.:ohbrother:
  21. Wild West, you gotta be from another state....I'm not sure John Hardin can beat their JV team. No disrespect to JH, they have a very good football team, but they probably can't beat Highlands...not even on their best day. Love to see them make a game of it though.:thumb:
  22. The run the wing-t. Any other info you might need is readily available at khsaa.org. Look at the stats section. Its the easiest scouting report you can get.
  23. Whatever offense Doss has found....I think John Hardin will hide it from them on Friday. I think it will be closer though. I'll say JH 35-Doss 7:banana:
  24. DKM, good post other than the comparison of rival outcomes. You're really gonna say that a win over Bardstown is worth touting.
