Not worried about Madison Central, nor did I say anything about them but since you got me started talking about them, they actually have an outstanding freshman point guard that will be one of the best in the state by the time he is a senior. Nothing to brag about, Sewell does that every game, except for the drive. You need to finish your statement above..... and drives back to eastern Ky...plays only one game in the district and beats an extremely tough East Ridge team by 50+ points and wins the district championship! Then will play another extremely tough Prestonsburg (6-21) team in the first round of the 15th Region tournament......yada yada yada!

While Army and Navy are academically two of the top schools in the nation, everyone that attends those two schools gets a full scholarship. But once you graduate, you have a five year active duty commitment.

It will probably a long time before another team in KY will accomplish what you group of young men did this year. Good luck to Sewell, Eply and Corbett. Justice is a walk-on. He does not have an athletic scholarship. There is a HUGE difference between a walk on and a full athletic scholarship. I also disagree about your comments on winning at least one post season championship. That absolutely makes no sense at all! How can you compare Shelby Valley winning a district tournament with the only two other teams in the district are East Ridge and Pikeville. Also winning the 15th Region, you could take the number 10 team in the seventh region and win the 15th hands down. I think that Justice is a strong candidate and should be in the running just like Sewell but your reasoning for Justice being a stronger candidate than Sewell is absolutely ignorant.

No deal. I've seen both teams play this season and that's just my opinion. My take on the game would be to attempt to keep Hall from penetrating (as much as possible) and don't give him any "open" looks. If HC slows him down then Franklin Co. will be limited on offense. Henry Clay is not very big but they can shoot and they are quick. They also have a very good coach. The whole team also plays very hard. HC weakness is handling the ball up top. Weakness? No true point guard. I know they say that Daniels is the point guard but when the chips-are-down, Stenzel is the one that is handling the ball. He is a great player, but not a point guard.

Favorite by leading his team to the Sweet Sixteen out of the 15th Region? The 15th Region is the weakest region in the state. Name one other team that would even be in the top 75 in the state of KY. Justice could sit out the whole 15th Region tournament and Shelby Valley would still blow out every team in the regional tournament. Also you are "not saying he is better than Sewell" makes no sense. The better basketball player should be Mr. Kentucky Basketball period!

Shelby Valley will not make a Cinderella Run at the Sweet Sixteen, they will be in the Sweet Sixteen and they got a "sweet" draw. I don't think Shelby Valley's coach could have personally picked the teams in the lower bracket that they will eventually play. I don't consider Shelby Valley a Cinderella team. They are a very good team in a very weak region. They will be at Rupp (as participants) the 17th of March and with the draw they got, I see them making it to Saturday.

Those four tournaments didn't have one top 20 team in the teams that competed. All very weak tournaments when compared to the three that Trinity won. Trinity's accomplishments have already blown Shelby Valley's four tournament victorys out-of-the-water! The district tournament that Shelby Valley won consisted of playing only one game to win the district, and that was against a very very weak East Ridge team that they beat by 55. Do you actually compare that to Trinity not winning the district tournament with Seneca, Waggener and Ballard in their district? You need to come up with some more accomplishments for Shelby Valley. Because, what you are listing as tournament wins don't carry much merit. Also, Shelby Valley's schedule this season has been an abosolute joke. The only good win they have is against J-town. The other ranked team they played, Christian Co. beat them at home. I have no idea how you can say Justice is the favorite???????:idunno: Shelby Valley has been blowing out almost every team they play because they are very weak teams. Everytime Trinity laces up, they are playing one of the top teams in the state. Sewell's season performance against the best teams in the state has to mean something! You be the judge; look at Trinity's schedule and compare it to Shelby Valley's. It's obvious who has performed better this season!
