What about Boone, Cooper, Conner, and Ryle? Is there no school-hopping there? This thread is not about tranfers at HHS but why other schools won't play the Birds. You have been given a blank check by Ru, CASH IT! So we can move on.

I think that this will become a reality eventually making it a regular season game. I honestly think that it is unavoidable.

Don't be too sure he's not going to get great opportunities. Since everyone will key on Harris, Jalen may be used in HB passes etc that as anyone knows or has seen him knows he has Barry Sanders type speed and agility. I can't wait to see them both!

Just more proof that our boys are taking advantage of that 1st class education in this great town! Great to hear he'll be following other HHS greats like Dale Mueller and Brian Uhlbricht!

Was not even talking about you. We were talking about another fan. Now if you'd like to jump in and take his place, strap in cuz! It will be a great year. It just seems like each year we have one or two people that spend their entire time on BGP trying to upset all the Birds faithful instead of even posting on their favorite teams threads. I don't think we are in Ivory towers. I live in a yellow brick craftsman that's about 80-85 years old. We are proud of our history, town, and our children. Plain and simple. Just make sure you do your homework before posting any "facts" because friend we always check our sources and there are checkers of the checkers. I wish you and whomever your team is the best of luck this year, especially if you have to play the Birds!

He'll be around, if not there are a few other new HHS haters that have already started their seasons. I look forward to this year and to see who will supplant him in the role of the # 1 HHS hater. Lets go BIRDS!

Does anyone have updated pictures of press box or any work done on scoreboard yet? I saw a few pics of press box on FB and they were unfinished but it looked amazing.

I'm just glad that Dale said this was going to be the best team ever. I get worried every year that he will come out once and not say that. When he does, we're finished. But he looked pretty confident and relaxed in the BGP interview and now I'm just excited for the season to start and watch the run and gun of a little Harris up the gut, and the prettiest ball I've seen thrown by Houliston to any of his receivers. I am picking Hergott to have a breakout year.

They do let you choose, but they also will pull you aside and explain that you have a chance to start at another position or you can ride the bench to fulfill your dream of playing O in the fourth quarter. Turner and other coaches do a great job finding and fitting these kids into the best spot they can help the team at. In the end, when you tell a kid they have a chance to win a state title, a lot of them will do whatever it takes to get there. And with their success, you have to trust these coaches. I love that we are less than a month away!

UK#1FAN, is that you? Look snake, I get your point but you should go back and read your posts. You say you aren't hating but have shown a lot of emotion. It's understandable as we all are emotionally attached to our schools but lets keep things in perspective here. Before you defame the character and reputation of an outstanding program, maybe type what you want to say while your upset in an email to yourself. Read it tomorrow, and if you still think its a good idea to send, then do it. I wish your team luck this year and hopefully we'll see you in December in BG.

It's always easy to sit back and take shots at the ones at the top. IMHO I think Mayfield is a great program but they will never be T, X, or HHS. It's okay though. Everyone can't be the best.

Bottom line is they have to work with kids that are doing other sports. Take some advice from NCC on how they do it. Look at the Breds' success and look at the names of those kids. It's the same kids on multiple teams being successful at NewCath. Brossart can do this too if the coaches/kids can work this out...Hope they can last long enough to get back to A ball to be more competitive.

That's funny. I worry about HHS every year especially when you don't hear about too many standouts in key positions. It is then that the unknown become stars. No matter what the Birds' offense does, you'll have to get through Seth Hope. He will be key on D line and if Hoge plays DB, it will make their pass defense pretty solid adding to the crew they already have. I can't wait to see them on the new Jumbotron!

The current board was put in before 1992 season. A coke truck backed into it and it had to be repaired before it ever even got to keep score of a game.

So when will movie nights start? That would sell very well to the community. Have these capstone students "work" the event and they could show movies (if the board is put over by the school) and charge like 5 bucks a kid. They could clean up. I'd let my kids go up there to that.

Agree on the danger of this. However, I'd love to watch other people do this. I have been done for long enough to know that it's over. I am pretty sure my life insurance policy wouldn't cover this. I'd pay good money to see it though and think it'd be a great fundraiser. I'd pay more money to watch adult female powder puff league though?

I agree on option A. Would like to see years of championships somewhere, but not a huge deal. Is this planned for installation before this upcoming season?

Amazing. If not for T and X, HHS would not have motivation to improve. Much respect for one of the best programs in the country. Good luck this year Rocks!
