I have never heard of this scholarship fund. I am a loyal Bird fan but I don't know how one of these things compares to the other. I feel that there are a few folks on here out to defame the character of a very good person. Just be careful what you are posting as a fact because you may have to answer to that in court. Now I know Dale is above all this, but some others may pursue retribution. In PLAIN English, be careful. Tread lightly, but carry a bit stick!

92 team had almost all but the QB Dr. Adam Crawford playing ironman football. Only 35 guys on the team. I'd be willing to strap on the gear for a matchup! What do you say 35Bird? Ft Thomas EMS won't have enough wagons for all of us!

Sorry, traveling for work. I didn't realize there would be such an interest. I've just heard there were some beasts in other sports that could make a difference on gridiron. It seems all my questions have been answered. Thank you everyone for the input.

While they have many student athletes, when will Brossart realize that unless they can use some of their basketball talent on the Gridiron, football will not survive at this school? Look how many multi-sport athletes are at NCC? Year in, and year out, you'll see the same names at all other small schools on the football field as well as on the court, on the diamond, or on the track. I feel terribly that they can't get this ironed out.

So what will that mean for the Birds D?

That's what I meant. Sorry if it was not implied. Many of the players from 82 coached us in little league that were on the 92 squad.

Remember, the 82 and 92 state champs will be honored at half time this week. We are going to pre game at Mio's starting around 5 pm.

So who is Boyd County and what do we know about them? Predictions? Poll?

Well, the manager at Mios sounded very accommodating and I think we've gotten a hold of everyone from the 92 team we can. I would like to meet at Mios at 5 pm.

What difference does it make if they are district champs, then they should be able to beat a number 5 team from NKY, right? Or are we still thinking that making the playoffs is the victory in itself and now that they have to play a NKY team in the first round (which I'm sure they'd be even more mad if they had to play a Louisville team in the first round too) jeopardizes their chance of winning at least one playoff game. Give me a break. Every year someone has to get stuck playing a better team than they expected in the first round of the playoffs. Prove you belong there and to quote the late great Al Davis, "Just win baby!"

With what he's done in the last few years in WV, Jeff Barth has to be seriously considered the coach of the year after clinching their district. I am biased because I know him, but I also know he was a student of the game even back in high school. It obviously hasn't changed. Great job this year JPB!

Best BBHS post I've ever read. With that said, Coach Jeff Barth has to be the coach of the year for what he's done with Walton in his stint there. It was an honor to share the gridiron with you and I know you are shaping young men both on and off the field. Talk about buy in, ask them what they are doing there, because its definitely working.

Maybe they need a Remember The Titans Retreat, or new dance. Maybe coach Yost could come and help coach Warner. I'm sure that could only help. He needs to re-energize the troops.

PP, You do get a boobie prize in that Cov Cath will probably have enough boys to be 5A in the next year or two so at least you'll get to play one of the best teams from NKY. I know that'll make Clyde happy but it'll make us sad and I fear that the rivalry may fade.

I don't think I've ever seen a team fall so far this fast from what appears to be the aftershock of losing the best player in their school history. Bummer. I'll still go and watch because that's what I do.

Ye of little faith. We must believe in our players no matter what. If we all say they'll lose because we're just trying to be humble since everyone thinks HHS fans are arrogant this is not the time. Our boys need us to believe and need positive reinforcement. I believe! Lets go birds!!!!
