I really liked you until this point right now. You have officially crossed the line so I will no longer defend your antics as playful banter. You have pride in your school, that's good. Everyone talks about why people send their kids to Ft Thomas schools and the reason is usually stated by out of district folks as just for football. Do you have any idea how many kids are in our elementary schools that aren't playing football at Highlands right now? We have more elementary out of district students paying tuition than SK probably has football players. It's the education here that draws people away from wherever they are to come here. I see it first hand as my wife is a teacher and every time I talk to someone all they talk about is how patient her and other teachers are to their child's specific needs ans it makes me ten times more proud than that state championship ring that barely fits my fat hand anymore. Get a life brother!

I'm only reading that 3 quit in this article. Where is the source for the other 11? Also, where does this put them on total number of kids? Also, how many frosh do they have?

I agree 100% and I don't have hatred for Brossart but some previous posts implied that CC ows BBHS something and I don't believe that. Like my family for example: we go to church and we go to church fundraisers and we put money in the extra collections, etc. Our church's school is a stewardship school and a percentage of the money we pay goes to the school for kids of those parents who choose not to send their kids to public school. How many other parishes have a portion of their collection baskets utilized for their attached school? Funds have been a little short lately and it seems like every other week they are bringing up the school and asking for extra donations. Do I have a right to be upset? Not if I want to stay married. So I keep my mouth shut and keep paying to help educate these kids at a private school on top of my taxes for the public school. I am not asking for any extra from the church in return and I honestly don't think the school should ask the public either. My point is that BBHS has to do this on their own and they need to establish a separate football booster club along with encouraging the elementary catholic schools to get a team involved. They could play against the Campbell County Youth League or play some games against FTJFL if they wanted. In order to grow, you must get kids interested sooner. By the time they reach high school they've probably already established a sport they are good at. I have nothing against Brossart but started this after being attacked on a PM by an avid Brossart who took one piece of post out of context so I decided to discuss a little more on here. I'm not the enemy but simply a messenger.

I just think a handful of football people pitched what sounded like a great idea for starting football to the BBHS masses and didn't have a detailed plan of attack or funds or facilities in mind. Football will last but who knows how long? Maybe them and Pendleton and a few others can begin their own independent league of their own...

Well, I'm out for this one. Last 3 games I didn't go to the birds lost. I'm hoping that streak ends for next two weeks. I will not be making trip. Quality time with my bride trumps the game this week. Please send updates.

Maybe CC can donate the old field at the middle school to Brossart and let them use the soon to be old Vocational school as their locker rooms, weight room, and indoor practice facility. Just think, the field and that building are old enough that they are replacing them so they could just donate them as-is and then BBHS can see what it really costs to have a football program and have to spend the money to rehab a facility and to do the upkeep on the field. Honestly, based on their size and the size of their gym, they don't even need to replace the upper stands that are in disrepair. Just tear them down. This really could be a great opportunity. I personally just think they don't realize how much goes into having your own facilities and maybe it's time they did. I bet Mustang would cut the grass for free. If you get a riding mower, I'll come do it for free as long as you have a cup holder for my cool refreshments.

I think Cov Cath has too much class and definitely too much to lose by running up the score. I think they'll keep starters in till game is handled, then JV finishes out. I have nothing but respect for those boys on Pendleton County. I think having the courage to keep coming and knowing that the program rides on their shoulders says a lot of the character of these young men.

New stadium, even better reason to go.
