Campbell County vs Highlands (Frosh) Predicitons

Featured Replies

Who wins and why?

Highlands is coming off a win against NCC. Campbell is coming off a loss to Beechwood.

Should be a close one. Depends on the pressure HHS can get on QB Matt Wilson. I still feel the birds can squeak this one out though. Birds by a td

If the same two teams show up that I watched play BW, CC wins by two touchdowns. That said, this is the same Camel team that lost to Dixie.

I expect a close game. HHS wins it 24-20.

I wish I had seen the Campbell vs Beechwood game. I saw Campbell vs NCC and Campbell vs Dixie games. I am still stratching my head about how Campbell played with BW in the first half.

No information from the Camel faithful on this one? Who is the coach at Campbell County now on the frosh level? Not real sure how to look at this game. Campbell defeats CovCath, but then plays a tight game against NCC and loses to Dixie while also leading Beechwood at the half. Sure they will be up for the Birds and the questions will be can the Birds defend well enough against the pass and/or can the Camels contain the Highlands run game. Nick Kendall will be back in action for the Birds which should help both offensively and defensively.

I know Ron Crowder is one of, if not the, head coach. Saw him at the HHS/CCH game last week. Wilson is a true 6'5" but still a little raw. From what I understand they have a good running back and MLB Eric Bingham is a stud in the Middle. RB Carson Plessinger is a strong runner... Runs over people not around... Report was that team got a little too high on themselves at half for the BW game... Got to give them credit though... to hang for even a half with BW is pretty good... I guess it depends which Camel team shows up... Kinda like the 'Birds

Aaron Caudill is the head coach for the freshman.

Go Camels!!!!!!!!!!!

Aaron Caudill is the head coach for the freshman.

Former Bluebird Aaron Caudill?

I am pretty sure he is not the same guy.

I like the predicted score, you could flip a coin as to who is going to win. Both have good teams, it will be a great one to watch.

No he is from Ohio I am pretty sure.

If HHS D-line gets penetration HHS wins. HHS defensive success is all about stopping plays before they get started. Highlands struggles to make tackles once players break the line of scrimmage. They have to get after the quarterback and make him throw under pressure. NCC did this early and stopped Campbell pretty well on the first few drives. After the first quarter I don't remember either team playing defense.

Getting Kendall back could be huge for HHS offense. The question is how effective can he be after being out four to five weeks. He has been looking good in practice. I expect he will take a while to get his motor running full speed. If he can have a few quality touches at RB, it will take some pressure off Daughtery to make all the big runs. So far Daughtery has been a horse for this team. He needs to stay healthy and he needs some help. Getting some form of a passing game could also really help. BW put 40+ on Campbell last week so they can be scored on.
