Russell 49 Boyd co. 14 I believe Russell will have a little fire in their belly. I don't know much about Boyd co this year but that is my gut feeling.

Garrard County is young and they will get better. But, one thing is for sure. They will never...ever.... forget the night they played the Titans! Good luck to both teams.

Corbin would have to play flawless. And I mean flawless. Mercer will run the ball until you show you can stop it. With our backfield that is very tough. They can throw the ball and they will go deep on you. Mercer scored 53 points on SL and the starters came out 5 minutes into the 3rd qtr. Where corbin would have trouble would be moving the ball on offense. Mercer's Defense is fast and athletic. They will light you up.

Boyle beat Harrodsburg 42-6 last season. And Mercer as a football program can't hardly forget about the not so distant and dark history with Chuck Smith. I hope for a great game.

Boyle did just enough to lose. They had Danville on the ropes. They showed alot of heart. They will be tough to handle for Lafeyette,Mercer,Southwestern, or whoever.

In all honesty, I think Mercer was glad to see Danville go. Mercer has NEVER beat Danville. I don't think they foresaw it in the near future either.

I don't think Danville and Mercer have played since Danville moved from AA to class A. I may be wrong. But I think I'm pretty sure of this. They used to be in the same district some time ago.

There aren't many teams Danville wont play. That's why they have all those titles.

Yeah, he sure has seen his share of quality backs in the past. I think that we couldn't ask for a better coach for this team. He does have alot of Danville connections with this team.

I think the crowd will rival the Danville/Boyle crowd. Maybe bigger due to alot of Admiral fans coming even though they play that night. I think everybody wants to see if Mercer is for real. If this game is televised then I would expect alot of people will tune it.

I know if their is a vote then both counties have to come together. This game has to be on TV!! I think it could go either way with Boyle being young but still very good and Mercer being so explosive but unproven.

I've seen no confirmations. Maybe someone can confirm. But, I have heard the last two weeks that he will play. An awesome backfield gets even better. I think people still don't know about this backfield. If they don't know, then they better ask somebody!

They are still Boyle co and I don't see them losing three in a row. I saw a hungry team last week that is only getting hungrier. Lafeyette better be ready or they could be dinner.

I think this is crazy. A program of Boyle's stature should not have to deal with problems such as this. There is no excuse and this should never happen again. The teams, the band, the school, and the fans deserve better.

I agree. I was at the Boyle/Danville game and I was very impressed with the Rebel Rushing defense. They contained Danville. But, I think Boyle had better be prepared for Mercer as well. Mercer is far from one dimensional. Coach Jaggers will run the ball til you show you can stop it. Mercer (Harrodsburg players included)will never forget the beatings they have tooken from the Rebels the past 8 years. Mercer will be fired up for the Rebels. But that's a topic for friday night after the games are over with.

I agree. But alot of 3A teams can't compete with anyone near the top 10 in 4A. But I did mention that Mercer has the numbers in which they do.

I agree 100%. Since the merger you have an entirely different looking team. I don't know who would win without them actually playing. But, after I saw Danville play Boyle their is one thing for sure. Mercer has a huge advantage in the speed category on both offense and defense. And that's saying somthing when comparing with Danville. I think that Mercer and Boyle should be involved with Danville every year in the Bob Allen classic. Who the fourth team would be well, I don't know. But getting back to the topic....I think Mercer could compete with the 4A teams ranked outside of the top 10 this year due to our numbers and the talent thats included in those numbers. That's no different then most of your top 3A teams. But I think Russell,Belfry,Louisville western, etc... could compete with anybody in A-AAA except for maybe Highlands or Bowling green due to the huge numbers they bring to the table. I would love to see some of those teams take one of those three I mentioned in AA lightly. That would be entertaining.
