I was talking about so far this season with the way they have ended runs. Sorry about the confusion. Bottom line is their aren't many teams with that speed in the backfield.

Well this is where a guy by the name of craig yeast was born and raised. Alot of fast backs have grown up here.

I think Mr. Jaggers will fix this. I think it was just really tough for them to get up for Garrard. No disrespect but Garrard has been struggling and I think Mercer didn't have that killer instict tonight. You could see it in the first series.

Well you need to question the folks at the Centre combine. actually I heard corey ran a 4.29 but, for some reason they didn't allow it.

I don't know for sure if that was the problem tonight. That will sure get you beat! But, I think it had somthing to do with it I believe. I expect them to have a little fire next friday.

This will be a battle I believe. Boyle is so much better then their 1-3 record. They have just had some bad luck early on in games this season. I sure hope it continues next friday. I know for sure if we win we will have to battle for it. Mercer Co. 35 Boyle Co. 31

He played a little in the second half to get him some game action before next week's battle with Boyle Co.

Morgan can throw the ball pretty well. He needs more game reps I believe. I believe he hasn't gotten those due to our rushing attack. But, the guy who I have liked since day 1 is the Qb out there on the last drive of the game for Mercer. #7 Trevor Short is a sophomore. He can wing it and he has great wheels. He is the future.

I would say it has alot to do with having one of the best young Qb's in the state.

Yeah, we have alot to work on. But, it's early. I think Newport is going to be a tough game on the road. And, next week we will really be tested. Boyle Co might be 1-3 but they are averaging around 500 yards a game. Besides the Henry Clay game they have been their till the end. We will see where we are next week. We have to come out and play ever week like everybody else. Nothing will be easy. We did a poor job tackling tonight. That was my biggest gripe. I think our backs did a good job. #13 (Ford) is unbelievable.

When you have 3 running backs who run 4.3,4.35,and 4.39 you just need a hole of some sort. They have blocked well up until tonight. This is an entirely new offensive and defensive line Mercer has this season. I think they may have seen that #1 ranking this week and thought Garrard would roll over. They didn't and Mercer didn't respond well to that.

Don't get ahead of yourself now. Mercer played their worst game of the season. I wasn't going to put that in my original post. You saw an uninspired team out there tonight. Check the South Laurel/Southwestern score. There isn't any excuse for them to take a game off. It seemed they couldn't get into the game. But, I don't think Mercer planned on showing much tonight the week before playing Boyle co. We played bad and won 49-0. Final.

Lincoln County is back! I've been saying all along that Coach French would lead them to greatness again. Be patient.
