When was the last time that the Tigers had more passing TD's than running TD's? When will Ben be back?

21-7 X over Central. X just went 99 yards to score. There's 1:28 left in the 3rd quarter. Duece was injured (leg) and I'm not sure what his status is. Central scored on a 97 yard play.

I know Highlands usually has a very strong freshman team, and I seem to remember them having a nice streak against KY competition as well. Perhaps those two teams should meet next year.

Although he's worked on it a lot recently, he's not the best starter, so I imagine that his 40 isn't as good as you'd think it would be. Casey Combest, while not nearly as fast in the 100 or 200 would have destroyed Tyson in the 60m.

Greatest story on Tyson is that although he currently has the second fastest time in history in the 200m, he failed to win the event his senior year. Ben Kittleson beat him with a 21.22 versus Tyson's time of 21.23. The second fastest guy in history in the event couldn't win his senior year of high school. Absolutely amazing to me.

I thought I remember reading they were planning on playing some sophomores, but I don't know about juniors.

Not to get too far off track, but Local Live is somewhat limited compared to G.E., but where they do have it, it is pretty impressive. Louisville was just recently added. By the way, there are some VERY nice homes just southwest of the stadium (lower right corner of that link).

Definitely not an optical illusion. The stands are built into the building.

When was the last time sophomores were brought down for Trinity to play on the freshmen team?

This method has never been used before -- at least not in recent times.

Well, it looks like Beanie was right on this one. 7 of the starters for T were sophomores. What is the justification for playing sophomores at a school like Trinity when you have 65 or so kids on the team?

I wonder how that's going over with the parents of the freshmen that used to start before the sophomores were moved down to the freshmen team. I had heard the freshmen team was down to around 65 now.

With the recent success that X has had at the lower levels, I'd say that the future is very bright for the Tigers. Thus far this year, the Tigers are undefeated against KY competition at all levels 22-0. Can anyone give me the records for the JV and freshmen teams the past couple of years?

I know Reitz's freshmen team was beating most everyone they played pretty badly, but didn't know the Trinity score. Their varsity went undefeated this year.

What is Trinity's freshmen record this year? I know they lost to Boyle, X, Moeller and now PRP. Did the game against Reitz get played? Looks like Elder is still on the schedule as well. Not trying to flame, but what's going on with the freshmen Rocks this year? Looks like they could end up at .500 or worse on the year. I thought I had heard about some injuries to some talented players, so is quality depth an issue?

TA, let's not turn this into a stadium thread, but I'm not even so sure that T has more capacity on the visiting side, as the visitor side only goes from the 25 to the 25. X's visitors side is twice as long. If they do have more capacity, it's marginally larger. Regardless, X's stadium holds a few thousand more than T's, so I think this fantasy team would have an easy choice between the two.

I figure this is as good of a time as any to ask, but grad/dad, do you hate yourself sometimes? It'd be like growing up in the Bronx cheering for the Yankees, then getting drafted by the Redsox.

A fair read on the rivalry would be the records since the current Seniors were freshmen. That would put X up 3-2, with one of T's wins being a rain shortened victory (although they really came to play that night). X has two 18+ victories and one nine pointer that was worse than the score indicated.

What part of the thread did you not read? Probably the part where we discussed the fact that X started taking out starters in the first quarter. Every kid on the sidelines played minutes in this one, and we all know X didn't air it out when they were up. It's the D's job to stop the team, especially if they aren't the first stringers in. X's sophomore back had 3 TD's and I think Duece had his least productive night of the year. I'm not how you can infer that X ran up the score when they played their 3rd and 4th stringers most of the second half.

Not to steal your thunder, but St. X actually had the best athletic program in the state according to SI. We're ranked #14 in the country. SI said that after looking through the results of the '06-'07 season, Trinity had the best year.
