So I guess the answer is yes and yes. Congrats though on the milestone.

I certainly don't think that X is #3 in the country, but I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that at least 3 of the four could be in the top 150 this year.

Maxpreps has Highlands at 86 and BG at 150.

MaxPreps has T at #54 in the country and St. X as #3. Interestingly enough, St. X is also #1. In the USA Today poll, St. X moved up to #21. Massey has T at #210 and X at #140.

This is a pretty special event. As a player, I got sick to the point I couldn't get out of bed to make my own, but I was able to go back a few years later to attend one. If you haven't been to this, I strongly recommend going.

The past two years these teams have played in the regular season, X has won by 10 and 14. When they met again in the playoffs, X won by 15 and 30. X by two TD's and the stadium will be rocking.

If true, I think Montano and Neal will be very capable backups.

St. X's visiting side hasn't been half full once this year, including games against T at the JV and freshmen level. Overall the stadium SEATS over 6,000, which is around 2,000 more than the one off of Shelbyville Rd. The visiting side on Poplar Level holds 1,000, so saying that if every player brings both parents, it'll be full is nothing but hyperbole. In addition to seating 2,000 more than some other stadiums, it also has plenty of standing room around the field for a few thousand more. If a visitor fills the visiting stands (which hasn't happened yet), there's plenty of space to stand, or they could come sit on the home side if they can find a seat. Just curious what the visitor seating capacity is on Shelbyville, because I can't imagine that it's that much more.

At the conclusion of the '04 season, X was ranked 23rd. I don't believe they were ranked in '05.

Premature for the team to talk, sure, but as a fan, I can celebrate it all! The team on the other hand should stay focused and not read the press clippings.

St. X is currently ranked #23 by USA today. The amazing thing is, if you look at the regional rankings, they aren't in the top 10 in the South, because all 10 southern teams are ranked in the top 20. Maxpreps has X at #9. Rivals has them at #24.

That '91 St. X team lost to Trinity by 21 that year, lost to Male and beat a J-town team by two. I'm seriously doubting that anyone said anything about them being one of the best teams to ever come out of the county. Apparently though, the Tigers lived up to the hype and finished the season as undefeated state champions with the 5-1 win. Congrats guys!

Duece is playing at a different level than the rest of the running backs, but the backups are very capable of stepping up. If Zoeller comes back healthy, that really solidifies the backfield, even without Duece. Don't forget too, in order to beat a team, you have to score more points than them and people are having a hard time scoring on the Tigers.

Last time these two met and St. X was nationally ranked, CovCath took it to the Tigers and handed them their only loss of the season and the Tigers went on to win state, running off fourteen consecutive victories. Unfortunately for them, that was the first game of the year and the Tigers had to travel for the game. Theyre a well oiled machine right now and the second teamers will get valuable game experience in this one to get ready for the playoffs.

Losing Duece would hurt X, that's for sure, but X has very capable backups. Seems they've had a wealth of talent at RB for number of years.
