St. X 16 PRP 6 (Freshman)

Featured Replies

PRP and St. X freshmen battled this afternoon.PRP jumped out to a 6 point lead in the first quarter. St. X scored a safety to make it 6-2. Then St. X scored 2 unanswered times to make it 16-6 before the storm warnings and lightning ended the game early in the 3rd quarter. Both teams showed quality play and have bright futures.

I know where the PRP coach can get a used umbrella. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

The Tigers were in control of this game and were pulling away. Great job Tigers in digging out of a hole early and fighting back strong. The ground and pound was at it's best!

Great job Tigers!! One to go to claim undefeated bragging rights against state competition.

St. X was taking control of the game when the storms and tornados started coming in. Unfortunately, a St. X fumble set up PRP's only score. PRP was big and talented.

So you are saying that if X is ahead when a game is stopped due to weather that it should go into the record books as a win. There is only a controversy if they are behind when play is suspended. I think I understand now.

Let it go. Umbrellas are on sale at the St X bookstore.

Dude, the only record you should be concerned about when it comes to freshmen football is your own school's losing record. Rain or shine, your frosh will finish the year under .500.

True enough, but history tells us that their chances of graduating with a championship ring are still better than anyone elses.

Dude, true, but you should be concerned about how if by some miracle your team were to win the next five state titles in a row, you would still be behind. You have a hard time winning two in a row. Not stirring, just stating facts. Now I'm sure I will hear the usual X spin.

Congrats Tiger Freshman for the W over PRP and the Victory over the Shamrocks earlier this year.

I don't think the KHSAA will allow those guys who won all those state titles for Trinity to come back and help this bunch. Only time will tell how much history is repeated, or made.

Maybe the Sophmores that the Rocks are bringing down to play tomorrow with the Freshman will get them to within 2 games of 500 ball.

If freshman football is so insignificant in the grand scheme of Trinity's glorious title history why did you even read this post about a St.X and PRP freshman game? Why after reading it did you feel compelled to throw a barb in about last year's rain shortened varsity game? Nothing was said negative about Trinity. I don't understand your need to inject Trinity into this conversation. Does it bother you that X's freshman did well this year? Please enlighten.

After re-reading this thread, you are right. This is a X/PRP thread. I was wrong to bring it up. Sorry.
