I attended the one last year. I more or less just walked in the gym after the students did and stood by the teachers.

Congrats to the soccer team while we're talking rivalry. Hopefully they'll be able to finish the season undefeated. Nice crowd for the game too.

Frakes has Trinity as his number one team in the state and X is third. Not sure why he'd pick T to lose if they're his #1 team.

X is 2 for 2 thus far, winning both games pretty handily (JV wasn't as close as the score indicated). Can they get out the brooms Friday night?

X romped 25-7. They couldn't hardly get a PAT though. Finally made the last one. The younger teams have taken care of business thus far. It's time for their older bretheren to step up and follow suit. SWEEP THE ROCKS!!!

One team has done that recently... Kidding aside, I would say slim to none, with slim walking out the door. The offensive weapons are there, but there's too much D on both sides of the ball this year for that.

No need for the dripping sarcasm. I was just responding to a post that I felt was awfully bold considering the history of the rivalry and then gave my analysis of the match, which is something I've not seen from you...just sarcastic remarks...

Bold prediction. The last time Trinity scored 30+ on X, let alone 38 was...oh...that's never happened. I think that the injuries X had earlier in the season may have been a blessing in disguise. A lot of second/third teamers were able to get quality minutes against quality opponents, so more depth was established. The only way that Trinity puts up 38 on X is if X scores fast on their way to 42. I don't think X will put up that many, so T won't have a shot at scoring that much. X will eat the clock with a ball control offense that will be opened up moreso than in the past. The short passes will keep the LB duo honest, allowing the ground game to grind out yards and eat clock. 24-17 X

Looks like the Rocks were, but they'd only played two games. They beat Moeller 39-28 and Butler 47-13. They hadn't played since 9/4. X's JV's are 6-0, having beaten T, Lex. Cath., Male, Manual, Moeller (31-4) and Oldham County.

Tigers were up 20-0 with 3 minutes left. Two T touchdowns in the closing minutes made the game seem much closer than it actually was. Great way to start the week!

X's run D has been outstanding this year. Through the first four games, they gave up 253 yards (63 yards/game), while Trinity gave up 578 yards in four games (145 yards/game). In fact, Trinity has given up more yards on the ground than they've gained. X rushed for 1,337 yards in their first four games. That's more yards on the ground than Trinity gained through the air!

Trinity has managed to put up over 20 points on the Tigers just twice in the past 25 years. Predictions for this game are almost always higher than the final score.

If I could decipher what you said, given your obvious spelling and grammatical errors, I may pay more attention to what you said (could have sworn there was a rule saying we had to at least try to use proper punctuation and capitalization). Until then, I'll continue to celebrate 16 straight victories against the Rams. Still proving that while Manual may own the land, we own the stadium! Congrats Tigers. Maxpreps updated their site. Despite the loss, Trinity actually moved up in the poll to #19. Cincy St. X moved up one spot to claim the #1 spot in the country (by a 6.5% margin!). Louisville St. X was a big mover after Male, jumping 44 spots to claim 16th. I don't think national rankings for high school are very valid, especially this yearly in the season, but KY has more teams in the Top 20 than TX, LA, IL, FL, PA and GA. Max Preps Rankings

Massey still has the Tigers as underdogs in the 9/28 game. It's calling for a 22-23 loss for the Tigers. Of course, this will change next week, but it's interesting to see that although the Tigers are ranked higher, they're still the underdogs at a neutral site.

Run, there's not a game that Glaser gets more fired up for than the Manual one...

No, I meant in the state. X beat Highlands last year on the road by 14 and beat them 45-0 the year prior. This year X seems to be a better team (as is Highlands), but I feel comfortable putting the Tigers ahead of the Birds. Maxpreps seems to feel the same way. It'll be interesting to see how the rankings change after last night's games.
