Close game until Lafayette fumbles twice in a row and Henry Clay capitalizes for TDs both times. Gay ran for 173 yards for the Blue Devils.

Congrats to HC .. sure thought it would be a closer game. How far was the FG for Lafayette .. that kid can kick.

How does HC compare to Manual and Male? Are they the third best team in 6A?

Potentially........yes!

St. X. scrimmaged Henry Clay, and has played regular season games against Male and Manual. Based upon their performance against the Tigers, Henry Clay and Manual are probably about equal, with both being much better than Male....just one man's opinion.

I was wrong about Clays defense. At least for one week.

Henry Clay played much better defense tonight, but still gave up big yardage.

They did have three interceptions and Lafayette fumbled the game away early in the second half.

Gay any relation to Tyson?

Donte Gay is a terrific running back. He was hard to bring down. When Lafayette's D actually did get ahold of him he moved the pile for atleast two yards every play.

Henry Clay's defense probably couldn't play any better. They were better this week than they have been. Lafayette on the other hand couldn't have played worse. Flat all night. This loss could prove to be a good development for Lafayette. I wouldn't be suprised if these two teams meet again.

I thought Lafayette played well most of the first half until Eddie Nzolameso-Bangudi intercepted a Logan Bunch pass and took it for a touchdown. That was a pro play that totally turned the game around, in my opinion.

Openyon, it was a good game...for the first half. When you fumble twice and hand HC that kind of field position, they will score. Lafayette did not play well in the second half at all. Henry Clay played extremly well all 4 quarters. I do hope these two teams meet again.
