:thumb: Very true Ram. The team chemistry with this group seems to be getting stronger each week. They have had to fight through so much diversity with all the injuries and the coaching staff has done an excellent job in getting them to believe in each other and their abilities. The season is not over as they still have unfinished business awaiting them in Morehead but as you stated, with the returning talent, the future looks bright for the Lady Rams.

Congratulations to the Lady Rams and the entire coaching staff on a job well done.

I have many great memories associated with being a Ram but my favorite occured while standing next to my son in the high school library as he signed his Letter of Intent to play college football.

You are correct about the first meeting but this is a new season. You can throw the records out of the window. Greenup County will come out ready and the Rams better be prepared to meet the challenge. Having said that, I believe coach Floyd has his guys in the right mindset and they will take care of business. Winning a District Championship in his first year as a head coach would be a great accomplishment. Good luck to the Rams and I hope both teams play injury free.:thumb:

The Greenhouse is a tough place to play. Rams should be the favorite but I guarantee Greenup Co. comes out thinking they can win. I look for this to be a very physical game. The ability to hit free throws may determine the District Champion. Raceland 57 Greenup Co. 47

Raceland will have to take care of the basketball and must play well in transition defense as Russell is a very athletic team. Rams must also get everyone involved on the offensive side. Free throws may be the difference in this one. Raceland 48 Russell 45

Another member of that team who played at the next level was Nathan Reynolds who went on to pitch for Berea College.

Very true. Ram football practice is much different now than in years past. I remember just a few years ago that they had very little contact in practices including Spring,Summer and regular season practices. When that was changed you could see the improvement instantly.

Excellent comeback for the Lady Devils. While Russell has not played well on offense the last few games (credit that to their opponents) they have one of the best defensive teams around. Their defensive pressure was relentless and their kids never stop believing they could win.

After leaving Marshall, Michael West enrolled at Campbellsville University in 06 and has spent the last two seasons playing for the Tigers. I'm not sure how many years of eligibility he has remaining.

Playing at Rock Hill would be great. Their stadium takes a back seat to no one.

It is my understanding that Z. Gillum is no longer playing basketball but remains in school working toward a medical degree.

:thumb: Boyles would have to be on my list as well. Tyler does a great job on the offensive side and IMO is one of the best defensive players in the Region. It is tough to make a list and include everyone but if a list is in place T. Boyles gets my vote to be on it.

I agree with you Ram. That game was an eye opener for future Ram players and was an example of what could be accomplished if everyone was willing to make the sacrifice and commit to the program. Another game that helped change the program, though it was a loss, was the 1973 game against a very good Elkhorn City football team who beat us 3-0 and if my memory serves me correct went on to play for the State Championship but but lost to Paris. (and you think you feel old. :eek::lol:)
