We do have an excellent coaching staff as you mentioned. The thing I like about them is that most are home grown and will be around the program for the long term. We lost a dandy in Gerad Parker but got another outstanding individual in Mike S. who IMO will be be a head coach someday. Another impressive thing about our coaches is most of them have experienced success while coaching other sports as well. Hats off to the adminstration for bringing such quality individuals into the school system.

:thumb: And we are tickled to death to have him. Mike is a great addition to an already good coaching staff and is doing an excellent job with the kids.

Congrats to East Carter on the win. Tough loss for the Rams as they lost to a very good East Carter team. The Raiders came out and shot the lights out early and often as they cruised to the win. Excellent game by the Johnson kid from East Carter. He was a force on both sides of the ball and did a great job on the boards as well. Gutsy performance by Raceland's Tyler Boyles who fought through his illness and gave a 110% effort and showed great leadership. A big Thank You to the Raceland Seniors as you close out your basketball careers. You have represented the entire Raceland/Worthington community with pride and proved yourself worthy as student/athletes. You guys are a class act and have set the standard high for the future Rams to follow. Hats off to Coach Floyd and his entire staff on a job well done!!:thumb:

I believe that is what I stated. It seems to be a lack of communication between the officials and the official scorer. It is now water under the bridge so hopefully it doesn't occur again.

The radio announcer on the other station stated that the player coming into the game was coming in for the player that was shooting the free throw and that is why six players were on the floor. Everyone is blaming the officials for a call or no call but IMO some of the blame falls on the official scorer. Doesn't the official scorer have to acknowledge the player coming into the game? To me it seems that there was a communication problem between the officials and the official scorer.

Cody has tremendous upside and it is good to hear that he is working hard in the weight room. If he continues to work hard he could be a name to look for in 08.

I have game tape of my son's Jr. and Sr. season's (Raceland) and a highlight tape (with background music) of his Sr. year (05). I also have game film of his JFL days. I have my nephews game tapes during his playing days in the 80's. (Raceland) We haven't watched them in a couple of years but after reading this thread tonight may be game night!!!!:thumb:

I think this is the first time in school history. The Lady Rams Championship last night was only their 2nd. in in 32 yrs.

Great achievement for Coach Floyd to win the District Championship in his first year as the Rams head coach. I hope he is here for many more. Hats off for a job well done. :dancingpa
