BACK TO BACK 63rd DISTRICT CHAMPIONS

This win was another complete "Team" effort by the Lady Rams, balanced scoring, great team defense (the Lady Rams held Russell to 26% shooting) and rebounding (out rebounded Russell 27-21) along with the shooting.

 

I cannot stress enough on the job that coach Bob Trimble has done with this group of athletes. The girls program continues to build. Coach Trimble has a "Program" now at Raceland and not just a team. There is plenty of young talent and the Lady Rams will be a factor again next season. This season is not over yet though.

Congrats again to the Lady Rams and good luck next week in the 16th regional tournament.

 

Also, congrats on another fine season to the Russell Lady Devils and good luck to them as well in the regional (unless of course that we meet again..)

Congrats to the lady Rams on a good win ! Russell couldn't have lost to a finer group of girls ! Both teams go to Morehead for the Regional task now. Oh yea , Old Rambler Russell didn't need to be held to 26% shooting , they pretty much can do that on their own sometimes ! I think against Lewis Co, they shot 12 % the first half and 64% the second. Their shooting is on or off. Anyway either team will have to turn it up a notch or two to get deep into the Region.

Starting tomorrow start getting you mind focused on the regional. Drawing is Saturday I believe and I am sure that Coach Trimble and his staff will be at work as soon as the drawing is over preparing a game plan for whoever the opponet may be. Probably will be thinking of one for each of the possibilities tomorrow.
