He was there the same day that some of us from Somerset took a visit, he looked like he was enjoying things and was really liking what he saw. Good luck to him at Union.

Somerset will be returning 5 starters on Offense and 4 on Defense. They will be under the arm of Senior Chase Hall and Kenny Hughes will be carrying the load out of the backfield as he did much of last year. The O-line loses 3 starters but most of the players who will be filling those spots have Varsity experience. The recieving core will be just as strong as last year with Seniors John Cole and John Coomer. The Defense lost all 3 starters on the front line and linebacker Cam Jones along with 3 of the DBs. The defense will be lead this year by linebacker Kenny Hughes. The D-Line will be the biggest question mark on the defense. The Defensive Secondary will have Cole returning but will need 3 other people to step up and be key players in the secondary. Hopefully the Jumpers can have another successful run at a Regional Championship! Good Luck!

At Somerset, we have a little tradition for all home baseball games. We, the students park all of our cars out in the parking lot behind right field and grill out in the parking lot. We also play cornhole and listen to music. It helps bring a lot more people to the baseball games and its an overall good time. Anyone else around the state have any traditions like this? P.S. We call ourselves the right field rowdies!

Somersets opener is at home against Boyle County tomorrow.

Lex Cath and Somerset had a scrimmage on Saturday and Lex Cath won 5-3.

They can do nothing but improve from last year! They will be in a tough district, hopefully this team can begin to mold and play as a unit.

I'm not for sure about District 7 and 8, can anyone fill in any info on these districts?

Somerset should run thru their district and Breathitt will be probably be their main competition in the region.

Never seen that score coming! Lincoln must have played a very up tempo game which sometimes disturbs PC. Transition D is not the strong suit of the Maroons and it sounds like that was exploited tonight against a good Lincoln County team.

True, Somerset does have a size advantage and I hope they take full advantage of it!

The 12th seems to be pretty equal. There are 8 teams that have a true shot at winning this region when they are playing their best ball.
