Confirm?

 

Robert Jones of McCreary Central has been elected by his coaching peers as the 2006-07 KABC 12th Region Coach of the Year.

 

Jones led the Raiders to a 20-8 record and won the award despite losing the opening-round game of the postseason. Last season, Jones led the Raiders to a 17-11 mark, which was 13 more wins from the year before when the Raiders only managed 4 wins, and three were by forfeit.

If so, the guy deserves it ... he had a good season this year.

He deserves it, but I heard at the Lincoln gym tonight that it wasnt him who won it..

Who did you hear won it? My guesses would be W Jessamine's coach or Pulaski's coach

There are several coaches that could have won this award. In my opinion what Coach Upchurch did at Monticello was as good a job as anyone else in the region. Even though his win total wasn't as good as some of the other coaches, he did bring respect back to that program.

 

Coach Jones is an outstanding coach, to bad Bartley never made it back to the level he played at last year.

With his record this year Coach Jones should win this title. Really good players make a good coach even better.
