Yeah, but in the past Estill hasnt been in the district either. Bringing them in the mix makes it tough.
-
It wasnt like the catcher walked to score the runs. He hit a double off of Bennett with a full count to score both runners. That was also in the first inning. Kind of hard to blame that at bat for losing 5 to 0? Powell County was the better team on this night...sorry
-
Powell pitched their number 4 pitcher and he had to be pulled in the first inning after he gave up 4 on walks. Other than that Flemming County flat out hit the ball hard all night. Alot better than GRC did.
-
I heard that Letcher lost most everything but second baseman Colten Cook. Is this true?
-
I have them 3rd. on mine. I think they will be one of the better teams this year.
-
TinCup what is your top 10 teams?
-
1. Estill County 2. Powell County 3. Hazard 4. Perry County Central 5. Leslie County 6. Lee County 7. Breathitt County 8. Knott County Central 9. Jenkins 10. Buckhorn

First off who hypes him up? I know him personally and the last thing he would want is for people to be talking on here. Im pretty sure he does it on the field....stats have shown that this year...as for the power, the leader of the team only had two, so Pelfrey isnt blown out of the water on that one. Pelfrey did lead the team in all stats except for HR, Stolen Bases....so i guess he is hyped up huh? But no one is putting the players down who made the team. I just think that the people who have good years should get rewarded.

Who would you see moving around in the 14th?

Who do you think should be on the list? IMO It's A good list -
I agree with TinCup11 I think you can't look over Lee but i believe that Estill and Powell will be the strongest. Once again making the 56th district the best district in the Region.
-
This score shows me Powell can contend in the 14th.
-
I agree. 1.Estill County 2.Perry Central 3.Powell County 4.Leslie County 5.Knott Central IMO

It was a good game. Nice to see Romans back in action for the Pirates.
-
Thanks man best player to ever play.:ylsuper:
-
David Johnson is a great point guard and can control the tempo of a game. He is an important asset to Powell.
-
Who is the best hitters in the 14th.
-
A guy who is a sleeper from Powell is Colten King's brother Logan King who should have a good season this year.

14th Region Who to looks to make noise?

I think Estill should be the #1 with Powell Close behind. I really think the Region Champ should be out of the 56th district this year. -

Perry should be good, they are always in the hunt. I think this is a down year for Lee County who lost alot of players. Eversole went to Montgomery as well as their head coach. Powell County should be as strong as last year if not stronger. Powell County will not have to start any underclassmen most of their starters are going to be Juinors and Seniors. They will be a very experienced team this year. As for Estill they will be very strong and one of the top teams along with Powell. That should make for some very good 56th district games. -
What are your top 5 for the 14th? Here is mine. 1. Leslie 2. Knott Central 3. Perry Central 4. Powell County 5. Wolf County
-
Yes I think i heard that the son in high school is staying at Lee County.
-
Looks good to me except maybe David Johnson at point. Just my opinion.

South Laurel-Powell game 2 updates
OnTheBench replied to Jim Schue's topic in KY Baseball (High School)
Great game Powell and SL both had great seasons. -
There was alot of good catches. In the first inning Powell's second baseman made a good pick and the second baseman for SL made a play that not many high school players can make.:ylsuper: As for the centerfielder for Powell (Daniel Kinser) He is a sophmore who has been doing the same thing all year for Powell.
