Agreed, and what are your feelings about Dixie after the game walking to your car??? Just curious, most here know what im talking about. I dont know if id call them underachievers.

Bob Rowe in the 10th and Walt Terrel in the 9th, but im abit biased../.LOL!!

You know Jim, have read you for awhile now and your allright. And looking at your avatar, im just hopeing that fine looking woman is your wife. She is quite the looker.. I wouldnt wait for the future, I would have to lock that deal up right now....LOL!!!

Thanks Buckman, for the edit, I cant spell much anymore at my old age...LOL! Thanks again, I just noticed your edit.

Jimmy Ryan with NKU...

Whitey, you said it all concerning D-1 or D-2 or whatever. All these college coaches, the ones that I have talked too, have been interested first in grades, after the size and athletic ability. They are real high on knowing ACT scores. And your right also, these college guys cant teach speed, but they can teach off speed and mechanics. Also right on wether or not some of these good ballplayers go D-1 or AIAI or whatever, there are some really great small schools out there with top notch educations to be had. Hanover , in Indiania comes to mind. Top midwest school and a beautifull campus , right on the river. Tuition of over 20,000a year and they offer scholorships to atheletes and scholors. I bet you alot of you never heard of this college. Just saying that there are hundreds of schools just like this one out there for sports and academics. You dont have to go to the Dukes and Harvards of the Nation. Great post Whitey, just chiming in with ya!!!:thumb: After rereading this post. I got to laughing that it looked like I almost said ,Dukes and Hazard of the nation. Geez, Dukes of Hazard !!!:creepy: Hence the edit::::::

After reading some of this, I asked myself a question? Am I any smarter for reading these posts???? Or would I be better off going to bed and reading a book or watching the Simpsons??? Goodnight!! BTW,,,Hank Hill and the crew is on in 5 minutes.....Great show.:ylsuper:

I totally agree in that I think the winner of this game will win the tourney. My opinion is that these are the two best teams in the all a. UHA is always good so they have a shot and LCA is usually strong but I think these are the two leaders of the pack.

This post is mainly to our Ky Colonels friends. Nath is to sign his National letter of intent with Xavier Uninversity , November 8th at Brossart High school @ 2;15 pm. Would love to see some of our Northern Kentucky friends show up , if you can. Walt is supposed to speak, so that in itself should be the price of admission. LOL....Our St Henry , Cov Cath, Conner , Simon Kenton, Highlands.Scott...Family are all invited.:thumb: If not, see all you guys at basketball this year.....and one last year with Walt, one of the best baseball coaches in No.KY.......

Well, Im one of the poeple that think very highly of Walt. The man does it for the kids, without pay. My son will play his last season coming up for Walt. Of ALL the coaches that I have met. Walt is my man. He is selfless and knows his stuff. Walt is baseball rough around the edges also, the boys love him.:thumb:

Just curious, why was Brossart at the Ashland tournement last year and not at the 5/3 tournement? I do know that some stuff went down the year before, but whats up with that. Was Brossart uninvited and again invited. No big deal, just curious , Brossart went to Ashland and took care of bisness last year at the AIT. I was there and those Ashland poeple know how to put on a first class show. Class all the way. I would of liked to see Brossart going back to Ashland to defend thier title. But quess there are more intelligent minds than I, running these things. Its a shame ,as the AIT used to be one of the best in the state. Kinda sad!!

Neerfan, I graduated from SK and played sports there under your Dad ,Big Joe, back in the early 70,s. A very fine man, your dad was, he was also quite handy with those wooden paddles of the day and age. I had the pleasure of him lighting me up ..a time or two. LOL!! I deserved it also. Just wanted to let you know that I remember him big time, a nicer man you would never meet...:thumb: SK all the WAY!!! used to be the chant.

Last year also , we had a couple of starters out hurt. Its been hashed and rehashed but those guys could of made a hugh difference in last years game. Holy Cross this year is a game not to be missed. Where is the Brossart-Holy Cross game being held this comeing season?

Looks like not enough:confused:

Yep and skinny as a rail. Lots of potential , half these kids on this thread are already getting ready to sign D1 or so all these poeple say.. Has Hurricane got Tubby and whats ma callit from florida watching his games also. Ole Billy ? This thread is something else. LOL!!! 13 and 14 year old being actively looked at by Major D1 programs. im sure Belcher rates right up there with the rest of these kids. The rest of these guys are touting thier players, you have that right also. Ole Hurricane is a fine player, we will see how he does this year, but serously doubt all that potentail will land him a d1 contract. He will make a nice Div 2 guy or NAIA player and Ive watched him play alot of games. He is also a great kid. I just wouldnt get caught up into all this D-1 hype that is on this thread:bunny: Just being realistic.:bunny:

Sorry, they gain 4 players that will also be seniors to play with the returning starters.

HCBalla41, Brossart crushed Harrison last year in the MCIT by 24 I think it was or somewhere in that nature. They bring back their best 4 scorers and gain 3 that will produce on the big time stage. I dont see Harrison being able to beat Brossart this year.

Josh and nathan play together on Walt Terrels Colonels and are difineately at the head of the pack. Josh has many college offers and Nathan has already signed d-1 with Xavier. They will be a good tandem next summer, after HS> They are exciteing to watch pitch. Both great kids also.:thumb:

I dont know what I would trust what the Cats Pause had to say about anything. I read thier baseball rankings and they had the 2004 team players in it. (for the 2005 season, they had senoirs that had graduated included into thier rankings). They are not well versed on NKY teams or they dont do thier homework, one or the other. They might have also just missed a team or two, but still if your going to put it out there, at least be somewhat right or know who is playing on the team. Basketball might be different for them....I hope so.

Your qoute of takeing the pressure off your senior season is dead on. My son has been heavily recruited this past year in baseball. he gave a verbal and it stops. It stops , like now, he can now enjoy his senior season. These guys will sign officially in November..is the signing period. Congradulations to this young man on D-1, its quite the honor. As we well know.:dancingpa

How can you say Brossart probably isnt as good as Harrison Clark and Bourban when they return basically their whole lineup and have 3 really good starters who can pitch with anyone. I know you are probably going by last year against Bourban and yes our pitcher got rocked and he is one back but this staff isn't one that most people want to play come tourney time.

Rookie, that might of been a fine post, if I could read it for all the spelling mistakes and poor grammer. Have you watched much HS baseball? Im not "yellin"at ya, just wondering.

Cory could play on my team anyday!!!! He will be a fine pickup by some college. I feel that Cory would have no problem with D-1, he has picked up some size, but his quickness is his game. Cooper is also a good player and has benifited alot with haveing Mutsch playing down low with him. Those 2 guys are a force to be reckoned with. Cooper 6,5 255 and mutch 6,5 225. :ylsuper:

Good for Scotty, he is a great kid and a very good baseball player.EKU, got a good one.
