10th Region 2007

Featured Replies

Well yet again Harrsion County takes the 10th Regional Title but loses to the eventual runner-up in State. Although HC lose some great talent (Custard, etc) they return with some good prospects. My question is, will any team in the 10th this year make some noise and challenge Hc? Or will Harrison County take another regional title? Your thoughts.......

Brossart will have a good shot to knock off the Breds this year, along with Clark County like always. Also watch out for Pendleton County as a sleeper pick. They struggled last year, but had a lot of off the field turmoil and a lot of very young starters. Watch out for the Cats.

Forgot to mention my own opinion of the 10th....... Scott will also have a chance to knock off the Breds. This year's team looks to be better than last years. As a freshmen ball club they won the 9th region tourney, got runner-up in the JV regional tourney, and the players who played on those teams did well last year as well.

Nothing against the Cats but I still think they are a little too young to knock off HC. I think another year will show just how good they are.

Brossart does appear to be as good as last year, if not better. But they have a tough district with Scott and Campbell County. Look for a team from this district to possilby win the region this year.

Clark County and Harrison County are established powers in the 10th and will always be in it no matter how young or inexperienced they are. Their rivalry between each other just drives them further.

I look for the 10th Region this year to be VERY tough. IMO, this years regional winner will make a run in State.

Harrison will miss Ashbrook, Custard, and Giles, but maybe miss Ross the most. Ashbrook will be at Morehead and Ross at Campbellsville. Custard is not playing anywhere. Harrison does return a good pitching staff with Lewis and Martin as the 1-2 punch. Bourbon County could be the most under appreciated team in the 10th Region. The pitching staff is top notch and don't be surprised that if Harrison gets dethroned that it could be the Colonels who win the 10th.

Campbell County returns pitchers that won fifteen of their eighteen victories.

1-Brossart

2-Campbell

3-New Cath

4-Harrison Co

Is New Cath even in the 10th? Have they been moved from the 9th to the 10th?

Anyways, I would include Scott in the Top 4 or 5, with some of the talent they have returning next year.

New Cath is still in the 9th.

GRC will still be good even though they lost 14 wins between Perdue and Bennett. Check out Evan Bennet at ss. He's a Jr. But been a starter since his freshman yr. Not alot of power yet but could be the most consistent hitter in the region.Great fielder too. Jeremy Greene will anchor a solid staaff at pitcher.I do agree that Boubon may be underappreciated and could win this region. Deep staff.

I would take Harrison, Clark, and Bourbon as my top 3. Bourbon is an up and coming team and Harrison and Clark always seem to be the 1-2 punch.

This is what I'll say for top 5 teams in the 10th Region:

1) Harrison County

2) Clark County

3) Scott

4) Bishop Brossart

5) Bourbon County

Scott got a big loud "Welcome To The 10th Region" cheer against Harrison County last year at the Regional. I just can't see Scott, Brossart, or Campbell being as good as Bourbon, Harrison and Clark. Pendleton is on the verge of improving as well. Did anyone other than the Scott High Coach hear the "Welcome to the 10th Region Coach?"

Not entirely sure about if any other coach heard that. But when the fan said it I thought it was totally inappropriate. Scott appears to have a better team than last year and will be more than happy to show the 10th Region why they are just as good as the powerhouses of the 10th like HC and GRC.

How can you say Brossart probably isnt as good as Harrison Clark and Bourban when they return basically their whole lineup and have 3 really good starters who can pitch with anyone. I know you are probably going by last year against Bourban and yes our pitcher got rocked and he is one back but this staff isn't one that most people want to play come tourney time.
