TheRookie Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Who are some of the top pitcher to look for in Northern Kentucky ?
BaseballIsLife Posted September 9, 2006 Posted September 9, 2006 Here is two off the top of my head: Josh Bleser (CCH) Nathan Meutsch (Brossart)
CruFan4233 Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Brent Humphrey (Ryle) Ryan Hughes (Ryle) Jeff Hatfield (Ryle) Cody Elliott (Beechwood) Tommy Bandkamper (Beechwood) Brad Krohman (Boone) Jimmy Ryan (Holy Cross) Kyle Houlehan (Cov Cath) Josh Bleser (Cov Cath) Kyle York (Ludlow) Matt Nichols (Dixie) Ricky Harkins (Conner) Craig Shanks (St Henry Nick Ryan (St Henry) Richard Bowen (St Henry) Adam Gillcrist (St Henry)
MJK3490 Posted September 10, 2006 Posted September 10, 2006 Zach Isler for cch if he can recover from surgery.
chevyman Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Everytime he pitched against Boone he was tough. Have also seen him pitch in the summer and against other schools and he did fine. He is a very good 3rd baseman, but not a bad pitcher either.
TheRookie Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 I agree with all of your picks... what about Weis the lefty from ryle i think and from Boone Kurt Koredenbrock???
BaseballIsLife Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Shanks is a good pitcher in NKY. However, he is being looked at as a 3rd Basemen from College Scouts rather than as a pitcher. His future lies at 3rd Base
CruFan4233 Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 ^^Correct his future does lie at 3rd Base i was just saying that he is a good pitcher and is not overhyped or overated by any means as I am a long time fan of St Henry baseball and have been following Craig since he was a Freshmen on the Varsity Squad
TheRookie Posted September 12, 2006 Author Posted September 12, 2006 OK .... i have seen shanks pitchs he is alright not the best in nky.. he is a ball player at 3rd so lets stop yellin about craig its a kid who plays ball thats it. let it be i set this up to see who you all woudl think is going to be good pitchers this year. Brent Humphrey (Ryle) is a good pitcher but is haven arm pro i hear and he pitched what 2 game last year i thik they are going to go with there top 3. not saying humphrey isnt a good pitcher he jsut wotn throw as much this year they will need him on the diamond. they got the pitching they need.. trust me i have seen all these kids in summer ball.. and hat knucle ball is crazy and Weiss control has got a lot better and his cruve ball is so wicked and same with hughes Ryan Hughes (Ryle) Jeff Hatfield (Ryle) Brain Weiss(Ryle) Cody Elliott (Beechwood) Tommy Bandkamper (Beechwood) Brad Krohman (Boone) Jimmy Ryan (Holy Cross) Kyle Houlehan (Cov Cath) Josh Bleser (Cov Cath) Kyle York (Ludlow) heck of a pitcher Matt Nichols (Dixie) Ricky Harkins (Conner) Craig Shanks (St Henry Nick Ryan (St Henry) Richard Bowen (St Henry) Adam Gillcrist (St Henry)
Crossbar Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Zach Isler for cch if he can recover from surgery. Isler will be tough if he comes back in time. Playing a pretty good amount on varsity as a freshman at CCH is no small accomplishment.
Horshack Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 OK .... i have seen shanks pitchs he is alright not the best in nky.. he is a ball player at 3rd so lets stop yellin about craig its a kid who plays ball thats it. let it be i set this up to see who you all woudl think is going to be good pitchers this year. Have you watched much HS baseball? Im not "yellin"at ya, just wondering.
TheRookie Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 Some games... i am mostly working but yea i watch them. and sorry about the spelling i was in a rush. I mostly saw these kids in summer ball.
Diamond Dandy Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Keep an eye on little known, seldom used Joe "SULLY" Sullivan from Holy Cross Threw some over the summer and threw 3 innings at Midland...the kid is looking good.
2Short Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Sanoila (CCH soph) may have a coming out year...
Horshack Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 Here is two off the top of my head: Josh Bleser (CCH) Nathan Meutsch (Brossart) Josh and nathan play together on Walt Terrels Colonels and are difineately at the head of the pack. Josh has many college offers and Nathan has already signed d-1 with Xavier. They will be a good tandem next summer, after HS> They are exciteing to watch pitch. Both great kids also.:thumb:
