Krohman and Shanks paly for Walt's team to and i'm hearing that shank's is going to NKU and Krohman is getting looked at from Berau and Cumberland

The thing to realize about any of these kids is that the college coaches will put the radar gun on them and see them before they sign them. If the velocity is there or close, the size is there, and they have the grades then they assume they can correct their mechanics and teach them how to throw good offspeed pitches. But if they don't have the velocity, size and grades then they are looking at a non D1 school for sure at best. But this is not a bad thing. Getting a good education is what is important and that doesn't have to be a D1 school necessarily.

Aaron Bush, Summer Team: Kentucky Kings

Zac Adams, Summer Team: Kentucky Colonels

Robby Ryan, Summer Team: ?

Whitey, you said it all concerning D-1 or D-2 or whatever. All these college coaches, the ones that I have talked too, have been interested first in grades, after the size and athletic ability. They are real high on knowing ACT scores.And your right also, these college guys cant teach speed, but they can teach off speed and mechanics. Also right on wether or not some of these good ballplayers go D-1 or AIAI or whatever, there are some really great small schools out there with top notch educations to be had.

 

Hanover , in Indiania comes to mind. Top midwest school and a beautifull campus , right on the river. Tuition of over 20,000a year and they offer scholorships to atheletes and scholors. I bet you alot of you never heard of this college. Just saying that there are hundreds of schools just like this one out there for sports and academics. You dont have to go to the Dukes and Harvards of the Nation.
