Stepp gets more publicity because the program is ran by his realitives, Cox is by far the best player for JBS. They just don't do much to help him(his coaches).

Potentially the best PG, he's only a freshman. If he plays at Rupp like he did in the games I seen him play in then you'll see what i'm talking about. Not overexagerating at all. Maybe the Pistol Pete commet was a bit off the wall but he's that type of player, style wise..lol

It will be a tough Matchup for them had Ashland won then I believe Shelby Valley may had Struggled. SV is a team with quick guards who make very few mistakes and usually control the pace very well and suprisingly have some pretty good athletes. They should come out on top this game but if not it'll be the youth of Valley they have 3 freshman starters and their top 6 are underclassmen, so get used to seing this team in Rupp. Players to watch for SV: Elijah Justice/Freshman PG-Could be the best ball handler to come out of the 15th region since Jermey Hall of Allen Central(Wisconsin). Potentially the best PG in the tournament. MVP of the 15th regional Championship. The Closest thing to "Pistol" Pete Marovich in KY HS basketball today. Ashley Hatifield/ Freshman Foward-Has all the potential in the world.

I can respect that, I based that mostly on team record. I agree on a talent level Holmes can play with anyone. But you may be right.

I take Valley by 12pts in a low scoring game.

Shelby Valley From the 15th Region, they will play the winner of Ashland vs Elliott in the 1st round of the sweet 16.

This is actually their 4th meeting this season. Valley won the previous 3. Jan. 19th-(48-35 @Pikeville) Feb. 15th-(60-50 @Valley) March 2nd-(62-49 @Pikeville)District Championship.

I predicted Brossart to come out of this region, so I got to go with them in what some will call an upset. But they are a pretty darn good basketball team, The Ubell(Sp??) kid can play.

I'm a 15th region fan but I can speak for alot of other 15th region fans saying they'd love to see Knott Central back at Rupp. Make it a reality guys!!

I may even throw Ryan Collins from Allen Central on the list after the performance he had against Phelps in the regional. 37pts on 14/16 shooting 5 steals 5/6 from 3pt land. One of the best performances in the 15th this season.

Landon Slone and Jamie Case from the 15th Region.

Belfry has upset Landon Slone and his Paintsville tigers and have sent them packing after losing in the 1st round for the 3rd year strait. Does this team have to much talent?? Where do they go from here?? Anyway the way Jamie Case Playerd tonight for Belfry I say their is no question he will be the 15th region POY from the senior class, no one else is close to him at all. .....Landon Slone was Held to only 8pts 6rebounds,Jamie Case had 24pts and several assist before fouling out of the game, May had 20pts and 10 rebounds...Vanhoose led Paintsville with 26pts I believe. Next up for Belfry....Winner of Betsy Layne/Shelby Valley.

The winner of this game will play at Rupp. I actually picked PRP to come out of this region in my picks, but most everyone else picked Doss. Should be a classic, wish I was close enough to watch this game live.

It was a very tough draw for a 1st round game. Eighter of these two teams could win the region and make some noise in Rupp and now playing in the 1st round of the region. I think this game will be close but if not, feel free to quote me. But I feel MC could sneak up on the highly touted Mason Co. team.

JBS got a really tough draw with Powell, looks like Hazard got the best draw.

Replace MC with Pikeville and that would be my picks but anyway who ever wins the 1st rd game Magoffin or Pikeville will more than likley be in the championship from that bracket.

Top Bracket Belfry vs. Paintsville Shelby Valley vs. Betsy Layne Bottom Bracket Allen Central vs Phelps Magoffin Co. vs. Pikeville The top 3 teams are in the top bracket meaning Paintsville,Belfry, or Shelby Valley will not make it to the regional Championship only 1 of those three will be there. Looks like Allen Central Got the best draw out of anyone.Paintsville looks to have the toughest road to the finals IMO, but I still pick them to take it all.

I don't think he is the best player in the state, but I guess his teams succes could end up getting it for him.
