KCC 74 Owsley 49

Featured Replies

KCC shot lights out from behind the arc. Owsley had many turnovers which lead to easy buckets for KCC. Good game all-around for Knott co. better get prepared for Hazard on Monday. Hate to see Owsley's season end, but they really turned it up here lately and with the loss of only one senior (Trey Congleton) they should have a legit shot at the 56th next season. Hats off to Owsley on a great season finale.:thumb:

I'm a 15th region fan but I can speak for alot of other 15th region fans saying they'd love to see Knott Central back at Rupp.

Make it a reality guys!!

Turnover kiled the Owls early. Knott led 16 at halfi believe and Owsley had no less than 8 turnovers that led to layups. Good Defense pressure on the press really took the Owls out of their game. I believe I heard buddy say that Owlsey ended up with 20 turnover and Knott scored 30+ points just off turnovers.

Congrats to Knott for advancing.

Goodluck to Trey at the collegiate level and the Owls this summer gettin ready for next season.

Knott Central shot 76% in the first half, and 64% for the game. This meant they could get in their press after a made shot, and Owsley has had trouble with the press all year. The 25 point difference in the score was mainly due to turnovers, many from inbound passes, converted into points.

Knott moved the ball very efficiently against Owsley's zone and was able to find open shots. But even at that, it's one thing to get an open shot,.....BUT...to hit nearly every one of them is unreal, and that's what the Patroits did.

If they shoot like that against Hazard it should be some game to watch. However, Hazard will probably man them (something Owsley couldn't do) and with the Bulldogs quickness the Patroits may not get the open looks they got against the Owls.

KCC should have saved some of those shots for a good Hazard team.
