Well, here we go. This one is to make it to the finals and this is the one that will count the most. What's your thoughts/predictions for saturday's game?

I think Mason Co. has more horses, but the Brossart Defense is pretty good.

I think Mason County wins this one in the closest one yet.

I'll take Mason in an absolute barn-burner. I would like to see this game. Will it be very hard to get in? I have not seen a 10th region game and would like to change that.

Brossart just can't score more points than the Royals. I don't mean that in a sarcastic way at all.

 

Brossart has played some pretty good defense against the Royals both games, they just can't get into a flow on offense and keep the game close. The Royals just have too many weapons for the Mustangs.

 

With that said, I said the same thing for the first two games, IF Brossart can come out, hit a couple early 3's and get a 5 point lead, the game could get REALLY interesting.

Brossart really wasn't able to play the style of game against the Royals that they wanted to the first two times around because they couldn't get a lead and slow the tempo way down. While Brossart gets credit for great defense, and rightly so, Mason's defense has a lot to do with the tempo that Brossart has to play. Mason's defense has been very underrated all year long.

 

Will Brossart's seniors be able to take the game to Mason's underclassmen? Not to diminish the contributions of Mason County's seniors at all - two start and the other two are generally the first two off the bench - but as Miller, Setty and Middleton go, so go the Royals.

I'll take the Royals to win by about 10 in the Mason Co. Invitational.

I will say that last night Brossart had a few 3 pointers, outside shots rim in and out. Had those fallen, it would have been a 30 point lead at halftime. I mention that because the same thing happened when I saw them play the Royals the first time this year.

 

Maybe I'm a curse to them and their outside shooting. lol

I totally agree. Brossart just has a hard time scoring points against Mason Co. I really just think that Mason Co. can match Brossart's inside presense and that Mason Co.'s guards are a little more athletic than Brossart's. If Brossart's guards can make some outside shots on a consistent basis and spread Mason Co. out a bit, it should open things up for Cooper down low. The key is to make Mason Co. play honest half court defense. The only way to do that is to make your outside shots.

If Mason plays like they did against Montgomery Mason wins by 15-20 cant do much when Miller and Middelton are both hot to many horses for Mason Nothing against Brossart just think Mason is the better team here and they should prove it come game time.

Mason Co. just seems to have too many horse's, one of the best overall teams I have seen in a while. If Middleton shoots the way he did last night Mason gets that much more dangerous. Brossart's slow starts in both games did not help them, they need to jump out get a couple easy baskets and hope to hold the Royals off. Brossart has a really nice team and are fun to watch.
