In the 14th region, you have to be approved and put in the rotation of host schools.

IMO leave the high school line where it is for the excitement to the game.

Darius Miller of Mason County. He should step up his game even more for his senior season.

I'm sure the PCC fans will end up missing him this year. This is one of the biggest coaching moves in the 14th region in years.

Estill County probably will win the region again this year, but they really should play regional teams. They are almost saying the 14th is no good by not playing them during the regular season.

Kyle Lively is a good coach and super guy, who could blame him for trying to get into the best possible spot for him and his family. Coaches will come and go in today's basketball landscape, sort of like Methodist ministers. Give the guy a break. IMO, he will succeed wherever he goes. PCC would be wise to at least give him a look.

Corey Benningfield for Powell County was on again despite not having his best stuff last night. Perry Central hit the ball hard but right at Powell's defense. Perry scored in the first breaking Benningfield's 28 inning scoreless streak, but the Commodores did not score again. Powell's 3-4-5 hitters hit the ball well tonight (Pelfrey, Brewer, and Reed). Sean Ryan and Seth Profitt played well on defense for the Pirates. Ronnie Nopolis on the hill for Perry Central was good just not as dominating as the first meeting between the two teams. Great high school baseball game to watch.

Stanton radio station WSKV 104.9 FM will be broadcasting the Powell County and Lee County game today starting at 5:00 from Beatyville.

I agree with those three and add Powell County vs. Estill County as a growing rivalry in the 56th.

What happened to Sears for North Laurel?

I would like to see Estill County and Hazard paly in the regular season.
