Brossart beats Clark 6-4. What a game

Yes it was a beautiful day for baseball at Cardinal Stadium in Winchester. Brossart and Clark players competed very hard, and both were well coached.

 

The teams represent the 10th region with class and it should be an interesting 10th region tourney. Good job Mustangs and Cardinals.

Evan Bennett went the distance for Clark and Bossart pitched a

lefty. It was a tight game, we just came up a little short in the end.

Josh Wood hit two homeruns, one over right field and one over left field and

had 3 RBI's.

 

 

 

All the games were close and all the teams well coached with good players on the field. Some great baseball played this weekend at Cardinal stadium.

Where does Bennett fit into the rotation for Clark? Chris Simon pitched for Brossart, and went the distance I believe. I know Clark's record was outstanding coming in, but I haven't seen their schedule. Have they played many of the Lexington or other top central KY programs?

Bennett is probably their 5th pitcher. Hasn't started many games, that was probably his 2nd or 3rd. He's normally the starting shortstop.
