I thought the same thing, attended the Lex Cath game. I was really suprised, I know Lex Cath is a little down this year but thought still would be SRO. Mason is a very good team fun to watch. -

Running Clock in HS Basketball?
Neutralbutbiased replied to mcpapa's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I have observed that officials control the clock during blowout games. They have a tendency to not blow the whistle (which is ok with me), ony time clock stops is out of bounds or very flagrant foul. -

Holmes 5th in the state?!?
Neutralbutbiased replied to Dowork's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
"I guess we'll just have to wait until March though to find out if any of our "predictions/statements" hold true. I'd be willing to bet though that it will be one of those top 5 teams that cuts down the nets at Rupp." Agree with this statement, another one to consider will be Franklin Co. They will face Holmes, Mason and Scott Co in Jan I believe. -

Robert Hatton is a very good/smart player. Watched him since he was in 6th grade, glad he is having success in his Sr year. Stinzel, made a couple of Soph mistakes down the stretch, attacked the basket instead of moving the ball (controlling the clock) and getting the foul shots. He is a very gifted player, with alot of up side. Congrates to the Clark Co. Monday's semis against Hazard will be fun to watch. -
Holmes/Bryan Station update

11 pt lead. Sounds like all she wrote. BS does not have inside presence, and has not scored in transition.... -

Holmes v Bryan Station Predictions (12/23)
Neutralbutbiased replied to Eta Rho's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Will be a good match up. Holmes has a chip on it's shoulder and Station is playing at home. Toss up, agree with previous posters, if Station is shooting well, don't think they will be beat. Would love to see it.... -

FC is a real threat in the 11th. Key is staying healthy. If Meyers has to bring the ball up and score, it will be a hill to climb. He can do both well. But that kind of pressure thru out the game takes a toll on the legs. If the pt guard stays healthy, I'm not sure that they won't take the title. They have a legit team, pt guard Hall. 2 guard Meyers, athelete Hicks, 4 man Conner and 5 man Donovan. Again....put the 6'8" kid on the block. Not under my RADAR... -

Refs were not the problem in this one. Lex Cath lost their composure (including the coach) and forgot to play basketball in the 3rd and 4th qtr. I see Lex Cath as a middle of the road team, which means Jtown is probably a little above middle of the road. -

You jest as usual> FC is the real deal and should be ranked> I think the FC Flyers will be there when it counts in Feb> Put the 6'8" kid on the block and play inside out with Meyers and the skies the limit. I wish we had a 6'8" kid. I'd put him on the block where he belongs:D Meyers is the young man that will make this team go in Feb. -

How did Mr Meyers do? He is going to be the glue for this team. They have a bunch of nice players, but Meyers will be their difference maker. (Unless the coach puts the 6'8" kid on the block.)
