I agree. I haven’t visited many, but all the restaurants around here seem to be very strict on wearing a mask until you’re seated. Gas stations seem to be the main culprit IMO.

It’s not right. I’m fortunate enough to have a union job with plenty of support. We told our employers that we had been coming into work with various illnesses for years and this virus was no different. Either they payed us to stay home or we come to work. We’d try our best to keep our distance from other employees, but we’d come to work as normal. They decided they would pay us to quarantine for 2 weeks if anyone in our home tested positive...

Agreed ! I see two ways to return to some form of normal... 1. We shutdown again. Maybe only for a couple months this time but we actually shutdown. No businesses open except medical offices. No travel whatsoever except for medical emergencies. After we get control of things we slowly open back up but we don’t allow international travel of any kind possibly ever again. 2. We trust science and utilize a vaccine. The choice seems obvious to me.

Early data from 2 companies claim the vaccine is 94.5% effective. That’s very promising! Again, I’ll get it as soon as it’s available.

It’s in Bill Gates best interest to have as many people, as possible, alive. Hopefully signing Microsoft’s terms of service wavier on our death beds. How anyone could think the ultra wealthy want less people alive is beyond me. I’m not a believer in chem trails, ufos or human chips/the sign of the beast so maybe I’m in the minority?

I don’t believe in chem trails, ufo’s, 9/11 as an inside job or the mark of the beast. I’ll be the first in line for a vaccine.

I agree. Kids need sports, dances, graduations and a slew of other things. I can deal without restaurants and bars but kids need and deserve some sort of normalcy.

I haven’t gone out to eat since things started to reopen. I have a buddy that has been told twice, at two different establishments that the restaurant is at capacity and he needs to put his name on the wait list and sit in his car. I would imagine the larger chains are following orders. I doubt many of the mom and pop places are.

For those of you who are against wearing masks, what percentage of effectiveness would it take for you to wear one ? If it reduces the risk of transmission by 20 percent. Would that be enough ? What’s your number ? Seat belts aren’t 100 percent effective and I guarantee many of you wear them every time you travel. Cops can pull you over and write you a ticket for not wearing one. Shouldn’t possibly saving your own life be your choice ? Are your rights being violated because the authorities force you to wear them and fine you if you don’t? I suspect many of you do feel this is a violation of your rights but you still wear them. I’m a strong, healthy adult. I’d probably survive a car accident. I shouldn’t have to wear one. Sounds ridiculous, right ? Condoms don’t 100 percent prevent pregnancy or stds, I knew that and I can promise you I wore them often as a young man. Washing my hands after using the bathroom doesn’t guarantee I won’t get sick. I still do it every time. I could go on and on... I guess I’d just prefer to err on the side of caution and see how it works out. The positives of wearing a mask greatly outnumber the negatives of not wearing them IMO.

Yes... I’m much more conscious when I go in a grocery store.

I think this is why. Im guilty of it myself. It’s easy to forget when you’re going to be in a business for less than 2 minutes.
