Just saw on Wave 3 news that assault charges against a Doss player and dad could be filed for attacking Coach Williams. Current investigation going on and will come down to whether or not Coach Williams presses charges.

Gerald Grey who refs in Louisville could flat out play. He played for Iroquois in the early 80's. They were regional runner-up three straight years 80,81,82. His son is a freshman at PRP may be starting.

Not a good decision by Doss to pick this game up. Doss has played a solid schedule up to this point and has clearly separated themselves as the favorite in the 6th region. This game was not needed and with a team that is showing character issues could destroy them. This is the time of the year when you refocus after tournaments, play and beat the teams in your region and get ready for the post season. You don't want to give other teams the thought that you are not playing well. sometimes coaches out think themselves thinking you need to play tough teams down the stretch. The 6th region will provide enough tough games. Just my opinion.

How is the All A broken up? Shawnee is a 7th region team playing for the 6th region title. Does Louisville even deserve two representatives in the All A or is it easier to keep it that way to have 16 teams in it?

Didn't hear that but did hear rumblings at KOB. What a shame to have the talent they have coming off a strong LIT run and cant come together. Selfishness will get you beat when it counts.

Trinity is slow and Quicker teams give them problems. Spaulding bails them out inside blocking and altering shots at 6'10. In regional play they will still be a tough out. Region could come down to the best draw.

Not all teams would play but the better ones would. They get a lot of money back. The final game is split between the two teams. Sell a thousand tickets and after expenses teams will get about $3k each. Plus it is prestigious to be the LIT champ. Lots of history. Just need to get together to run it right. ADs need to demand this

Agreed process should be changed but it's not going to change on Saturday morning day 3 of the tournament. It's for ADs to take up during monthly meeting. Most don't want to be on the committee cause they have to work extra even though the coaches complain constantly. There could have been some humanism from the worker, but they were doing what they were told. It's hard to be nice working the gate. I've done it many times. Coaches say they are coaches and don't have passes. Do you let them in or argue? As for AAU tournaments the ones that I have participated in and are run right(NCAA certified) players and coaches check in and enter in a different entrance than the public. AAU events that are unorganized lose money.

Why wouldn't he? He thinks he did nothing wrong. Society today doesn't hold anyone accountable for their actions. You have to be nice and bend over backwards with the public nowadays. Every time someone gets arrested its over zealous cops. For the record I'm a coach Bibby fan. I think he is one of the best in the state. No coach out works him on the sidelines. His kids play hard every night. However, from what I was told from LIT people he escalated this and was given every opportunity to stop it. I hope he is cleared and if he was in the right then disciplinary action needs to take place.

Agreed. Just follow procedures and bring concerns to the table. I also heard today from an LIT worker, that Valley has it all on tape. They have cameras so maybe we will see. I was told that the coach would not stop and let it go and the police officer put his arm on the coach shoulder saying, "coach you have bigger fish to fry today let it go." Coach elbowed the officer in the chest and was arrested. Jerry Wyman asked if it could be handled differently and they agreed to cite him instead of taking him to jail.

Sounds like he wasn't with the team as earlier stated. Third game Central was involved in you think they would know the procedures by then. Maybe a dumb rule and can be addressed at AD meetings on the tournament. It was unusually warm this morning and it would have been a 20 sec walk to the other door. The kid would not have been in harms way.. Another case of just doing what you want and it should be okay. There is a hospitality for coaches, administrators, and media. As for Food for the players that would be great but another problem/cost. Since this was an early game should the LIT provide breakfast? Doss got there 10 minutes before their game was to start. Some games during the week don't end until 10:30pm. Teams wouldn't get out of there til after 11:00 on a school night. Again, why not get together before the game and have a team meal and go in the right gate together. Each team gets money back per round. So that money should cover any food cost. Central playing three games will probably get back around $1500 or more. Heck, Fairdale two years ago stayed in a hotel the night before their semi final with Trinity. I do not agree with everything the LIT does and changes need to made. I hate that when teams lose they can no longer get back into the tournament without buying a ticket. Again there is a time and place to make changes. Not making a scene at the entrance. I've heard the use of overzealous police/security. Coach admitted losing his temper. So when does security step in?

I would agree with Coach Bibby on this rule. Not sure why the LIT is adamant about teams coming in a certain door when all they get is a ticket. Made teams go around last year that mad coaches mad. But they did it.

If it was Trinity, they would have thrown the food in the garbage and went on in the gym. No need for the police.

All excuses for not handling a situation right. I don't have a problem with a kid from a team bringing in food and would okay it if I was on a gate. But Im not going to give a coach a pass for this in the name of standing up for a $5 meal. I don't understand why we cant handle things the right way.

There is a clear sign on the doors that says no food or drink in the gym. I have no problem with a kid from a team bringing in food. However the workers at the gate are giving a job and they do it. If you have never worked a gate at a big event you should. It wont be a pleasant experience. Everyone tries to sneak in, give you phony passes, say they are coaches of the team even though you have to have a LIT pass or ticket to get in, and blame you for the cost and senior citizens complaining of no discount. As for feeding the teams would be great but it doesn't happen. All the money goes back to the teams per round. Heard Doss got to the game 10 minutes before starting. How about getting your team together early and having a team meal together. Like I said earlier, You handle this professionally and bring it up for discussion afterwards and make changes as needed.

What does the venue have to do with not following rules? Jeff. Co preaches "Character first." Whats wrong with the coach saying that's the rule I will give you some money to get something at the concession stands and bring this up with my AD and LIT committee later? End of story and coach would be on the sideline. Valley is becoming a great site.

Dont disagree but if the the three that dont make it are major donors kids your gonna have issues.

X hasnt sold out. I'm not sure the alumni there would go for it. Alumni not going to fund that school and see their kids get cut or not play for those who dont contribute to the school. I think Coach Klein is one of the best coaches in the Co. They are never the most athletic but they make up for it with execution and team play. I would love to see X and coach Klein in the state tournament. He a class act.
