Some folks doubling down on Cal can’t coach rhetoric… Coaches Coach and players play…against Oakland, players choked (Reed especially)… Last night UK choked (especially Olweh and Brea)… when UK isn’t hitting shots… Pope panics. I say all that as a huge UK fan of 40+years…

I put this loss completely on the shoulders of Matt Jones!

Arkansas has a better roster and a more seasoned coach and it showed up on the big stage. I am happy for Cal… UK fans have been unbearable during all this. I love Pope and I love the energy. It was time for Cal To do what he did but…

You used Wimsatt, and we will never know if having a generational talent was enough to get Owensboro over the hump because he dipped a few games in to his senior year. My point is this. It seems as though Owensboro is looking for greener grass...hopefully they find it...but there is also a chance, that the grass isn't always greener!

I would add create and inherit them in your hometown.

How many Championships has OCath won in the last 20 years? So Owensboro wants to look good and put up big numbers, win a lot of games, but fail to win the big one? Every program is different and if you want to have envy of one program that has different kids and different skill sets go ahead. I have seen kids who can flat out fly...who are built like greek gods, and couldn't catch a cold...but by gosh, let's try and throw them the ball because that's the cool thing. I watched Wimsatt with 4 years of college development struggle to throw the ball with accuracy and consistency this year for UK...but yet he came in to run the zone read? I guess all those college coaches can't develop a QB either.

Soft to some is classy to others. Just think we could be enduring the season that Arkansas is, with no recourse because of a lifetime contract and huge buy out. Mitch should roll out the red carpet for Cal because this move has helped Mitch and his legacy as much as anything. If you don't think Coaches are constantly putting out feelers behind the scenes you are crazy? @Breds82 are you booing Stoops for dancing with A&M or cheering because he coaches the team you live and die with?

Will UK do something promotional before the game at Rupp to soften the crowd against Cal? Maybe video messages from some of Cal's great players professing love for him and loyalty to UK? Have John Wall, Boogie, Bledsoe, Kidd-Gilcrest ect in the crowd/on the floor. Cal did too much good (including leaving for Arkansas) to get boo'd at Rupp!

Possible the biggest difference between OCath and PT and Owensboro is the QB play. Both OCath and PT had generational talents at QB...that makes a difference in the plays you call and how you structure an offense!

I expect a dog fight and I hope that Big Z doesn't go crazy. All the pressure in on the CATS and I think they struggle when they have pressure (Louisville they struggled and most of their losses have been in tuff situations when they are clear favorites). UK seems to like the under dog role and they clearly won't have that.

It's hard to rebound the bricks that UT was putting up. Those balls were coming off long at terrible angles etc.

I think officials in all sports have been instructed to not put up with crap...as with anything, some officials can't handle this extra power!

How any UK fan could find fault after this game is beyond me. Yeah they didn't do this or didn't do that...but they went into a top 5 team in the country's home...missing arguably the 2 best leaders on the team...with not true point guard, and came out with a win!. Big time gutsy game!! Brea attacking the rim was the best thing I saw all night. He does that, it takes UK's offense to another level. I also thought on top of all that, that UK had a few calls go against them at crucial times...but they still hung in there!

NO point guard in this game on the road, no chance. Hopefully we can heal up for Saturday...because if Cal gets us, we could be in for an NIT spiral.

Aren't there former football Coaches in admin at OHS/OISD? I would have thought this process would have gone much smother.

Do they have a coach yet? I know everyone is expecting Arnett to be named...however there has been no official announcement. Maybe Arnett asked for some things that Glasgow is unsure they want to commit too?

Buffalo showed you can run the ball on KC in the second half. Washington Showed you can have WR's open and hurt them in the passing game. This game will be a battle of wills...

The last thing that any program needs is to hire a coach that no one wants. Makes it an uphill climb on ice from the start! Both the program and the coach will be thankful in the long run.
