All your district winners and runners up are pretty much the same as mine. I hope the 35th goes as hoped by me, but the dogs are not going to bow out.

Was this only Conner's second regional win of the season, with the first being against Heritage??

CCH made a big mistake last night. Playing the clock with about 6 minutes left does not suit them well. The halfcourt offense is not a truly strong part of their game. They are a much better run and gun, hit the runner type team. And once you are forced to start scoring again you may be out of a rythme and it may be harder to score.

I never said that I went to a game, just said I heard. Nothing more. I don't have an opinion on them, just saying what I've heard.

Didn't play HS basketball. But I remember my last HS game, it was soccer though.

Talking to Coach L today in class he said he would have liked to see one of three things... one of which happened. He said he didn't see the timeout (which there was a TO halfheartedly called but that is not important) and that it could have been a warning, but he didn't really see that happening. Scenario two is that it is a technical. Scenario three is that you let the kid run around with the ball and let the clock run out. Since HC cannot stop the clock, nor can they shoot the ball, they are just hurting themelves. But they got a warning and the trickery paid off, turned out to be a heads up play that worked.

It is probably a top 3 most balanced/talent loaded district in the state. Not only NKY.

The HC cheering section I would venture to say was larger in numbers than the CCH cheering section, but only had 1 true cheer that I can remember. The CCH guys started chanting "you got served" after a Noll block... to which the HC section chanted back the same thing about a minute later. The CCH section responded with "get your own cheers", and that was the last thing out of the section on the left side. CCH section was LOUD.

I am from Park Hills and I have heard from a few people about Lloyd's cheering section being vulgar. Now you have 3 schools including espnguy and myself.

Thanks DF. Frankfort isn't a bad team, they just lack a true floor presence.

Schult did a great job of rebounding and Young did a good job complimenting him. Mainly on the defensive end, those are the most important.

Gallatin keepts getting wins. So they move to the region. Congrats. I have been meaning to see this team play, but unfortunately, the 35th final is Friday and that is my committment.

4 might be a little early even though it's a bigger game as far as getting a trophy is concerned. Might be more like 6 or 615. I doubt the line will be as long as the one tonight.

I wouldn't have been surprised if they were benched to get rested. But if they were sick I suppose they weren't.

I was thinking the exact same thing about Scruggs. If the CCH defenders even took a half step back or fell over... he would have had 3 or more charging calls. Jacobs came back in a big way from the last time these 2 teams met. Young is starting to become "less than soft" in the middle. And Schult is doing a good job of taking the ball to the hole. CCH missed about 5 layups in the first half that killed their momentum.

TJ was definitely shut down in the last game. What did he have like 2 or 3 points. That's about what 1/8 of his season average. HC did the best job on him all year and the scheme tonight may be a little different as lately the CCH scoring has been surprisingly balanced. In the past month the leading scorer may be averaging about 15.
