Bellevue had 7 starters(all play on both sides of ball) go out of the game with either injuries or illness, that tough for a team with only 25 players. Hopefully they will be ready to play this week. Congrats to Coach Browning and the Wildcats.

Bourbon rolls BIG. Way to much talent on that team that have finally grew up and are not freshmen and sophmores any longer, to go along with all the new transfers they got in. Bourbon should have a shot to get to Bowling Green in December.

Yeah all that did happen with a team full of sophmores . Part of the game. Good luck to Coach Scenters and the Golden Lions this year. I would not count Beathitt out just yet.

Until Bourbon makes serious changes in all adminstration they are going to have several problems on all levels. They cannt continue to treat the staff in the disrespectful manner they do and get anyone of any QUALITY to come there to teach or coach.

Bourbon County should be in the 3A state championship game with the talent they have returning. JMO

Should not happen, Garrard does not have enough to get past Bourbon County in the district and region. Bourbon Co has everything coming back from team that lost by 1 point in OT to Garrard last year.

Bourbon needs to go in a different direction at the adminstrative level. Bourbon County adminstration is a JOKE!!! Since July Bourbon has gotten a new girls bball, girls golf, boys soccer, wrestling, football, girls and boys track, boys bball, and cheerleading coach. In the last 10 years bourbon has had 5 basketball coaches, 5 football coaches and 5 different principals. But just one superindent, so what seems to be the problem. So seems like she dont know what direction she wants to go in. The people of Bourbon community need to step up and get rid of the problem at the bottom of the hill before she totally destroys your school.

Johnny Poynter didnt "interview for every job under the sun" Only the jobs in central Kentucky, cause he was trying to get his 4 year old daughter and wife back closer to their family. Coach Poynter was very happy and successful at Trimble and would have stayed there if there was some way to move it closer to "THE ROCK"

Heard Graham turned in down, so I guess they will move on down the list.

I know of 4 for sure and the guy behing Graham took another job.

From waht I hear this job has been offered to like 6 guys that have turned it down. Who wants to put themselves in a bad situation. The last coach won more games than they have in the last 15 years and then gets ran off because of one man with BIG $$$$$$

No one should be treated like Poynter was been treated by the adminstration the last 2 years. He worked his tail off to rebuild a program that he helped Coach Hilton build back in the late 90 just to get smacked in the face by the admiinstration over and over. But Poynter just kept turning the other cheek just to get it smacked. Kids are great there but adminstration is awful!!!

You will not have to worry about playing him for the next FOUR years, cause no one is allowed stay there that long. Even if they win.

I am going throw my two cents in here, if its OK. I think Kentayvus Hopkins RB from Bourbon County is a pretty good football player. Ran for 2957 yards in 12 games on 253 carries and scored 252 points. He is also pretty fast ran 4.41 40/4.05 pro shuttle at UK in the may camp. JMO

Larry French is a first class coach and person. Coach French and his staff has done a great job at Boyle County. I hope that Coach French does not hang it up, but if he does I hope it is on his terms. If he does step down they should give a hard look at some of the first class asst coaches that Boyle have and keep some stability with the program.

The kids and coaches put ALOT OF EFFORT into playing football,(from lifting weightsall winter and spring pracrice to giving up their summer break) so what does it hurt to allowing them to play one more game in the playoffs? If you dont like the blowouts dont go to the game or read the scores in the paper or on BGP. All other sports allow everyone play in the post season. Most allow teams to advance even after they have beean beaten in the post seson (district runner up advances. Someone said use a system like the BCS, well then someone would complain then. Lets just use a system like then had before the BCS, allow the AP to vote for the state champion and we will not have to play any games, just play them all on paper!!!
