Okay when you look at the teams in the 2a district and then look at the teams in the 3a district which one seems more like a "district"/"region" in terms of geography? Thats what I thought... Thanks tho!:lol:

Somerset was in a district with Danville, Campbellsville, Harrodsburg, Metcalfe Co., Green Co.(Not Frankfort). The reason they left the district is b/c the district was completely split up. Metcalfe and Green went west and Somerset went east. Somerset did not nor will they ever switch districts b/c they don't think they can compete. If Somerset would have stayed 2a in the new allignment then they would be traveling almost 2 hours for every district game except Corbin. Somerset also has scheduled Corbin as a non-district opponent next year. I don't think they are running from anyone. Every game in the new district will be less than an hour travel time and that was the sole reason for the move. P.S. - Somerset won a region in that old district with Danville, Bardstown, Frankfort, Campbellsville, Harrodsburg, etc. Your argument doesn't have much backing.

Danville in '03 didn't even pass it once in the state final game. When you have that kind of speed to run the football you can do it.

I think you're right but we shouldn't take anything away from those kids great accomplishment. The won the class they were put in.

Yeah it is late for a non district game. I think I remember hearing it was the 10th game though. I'm sure its a 2 year contract so it'll home one year and away another. Not really sure where it falls at next year. The schedules aren't finalized so they haven't been printed its just hearsay.

Norman and Newell were both 4.6 speed kids so yes he is faster. John is 6 foot, 165 lbs. and still has time to grow. The other guys in his family are a little taller so he'll probably gain a couple of inches.

I didn't mention anything about the show. I was talking about Coach's class loads and their support from the administration.

Yes, he is getting looks from a lot of D1 schools. Nobody has offered yet but they have shown some interest. Seeing how he is just a junior I'm sure he'll be getting offers this off season. He will definitely play D1 football. No doubt in my mind.

That is a question mark right now. There are a few people that could step up. Deaton's shoes will be hard to fill but I'm sure someone will rise to the challenge.

I know 3high. I'd love to see KY get as excited about football as these other states.

Depends on how successful they want their program to be. Most Superintendents in the state of KY simply don't care or don't support athletics enough.

I'm sure Propst is a good coach but many coaches would love to have his talent.

John Cole WR of Somerset broke the Single Season Receiving yards Record and the Receiving Touchdowns Record in the state of KY. Cole finished the year with 1891 yards on 86 receptions, 28 TD's. He also had 1 rushing TD, 5 Kick Return TD's, and 5 Interceptions with 1 returned for a touchdown. Cole is also just a Junior. Somerset had a great year and this is one of the special players that were on this team. I want to BG win this game. I think it will be a very close one though. I'll check some scores later to get more of a feel of it but I have a feeling BG is going to win this one.

Danville WILL win this football game. Newport Catholic hasn't seen speed like Danville's all year. Danville will score on them pretty easily IMO. NewCath is VERY predictable and Danville will smother their run game with the team speed. I'll predict... Danville 35 Newport Catholic 14

I hate it that the Vickars kid got hurt but it wasn't a late hit. The call was a "spearing" call. The Somerset player was already about to hit him when he went down. I hate it that the kid might have to miss the finals but it wasn't a cheap shot by any means.
