I'm not so sure I agree with that. It appeared to me that Rose Hill wanted it more and it showed by their effort. Boyd was outhustled, outshot, and outplayed.

:thumb: I totally agree. Seeding is the correct way to go, look at the college and pro levels and imagine what would happen if they drew? The same rules should apply at the high school level.

I was impressed with the way Euton took Rose Hills last shot. He stepped up and shot a three with confidence, even after missing a lay up on the previous possession.

Personally, I think the KHSAA should step it up, making seeding the rule for all districts and making it mandatory to play each district foe twice in order to get a fair seeding.

Exactly like I said, and I will always stand by that, it is gutless to draw. Why not be men about it and hope to make it by getting a good draw. Prepare your team to be the best and if youare not the best, prepare your team to pull an upset. But most of all, do it with class instead of cowardice!!!

Still a win is a win and Ironton seems to be playing better than Russell right now, I'll take Ironton by 12.

Antonio Owens from Boyd Co can really throw it down. He is a 6'1" guard that can get the top of the square. Opposing fans often show up for warmups just to see what dunks he will do.

If they do vote to seed and don't play then they should be considered forfeits. The district should seed, and Rose Hill should vote to seed with the team that they are building. Blind draws are gutless and voting for a blind draw only means that you don't have any confidence in your teams ability to win and just hiope that you can escape with a "good draw".

I think teams should have to earn their way to regionals instead of getting there by a luck of the draw. It isn't fair and alot of times doesn't represent your district with the best 2 teams.

Isn't it fitting that the sun is shining and the temp is in the 60's for the 1st day of baseball season. The baseball gods must love us.

Given that Rose Hill is headed towards having a good team, and down the road quite possibly the best in district, might they want to consider seeding for the districts instead of the blind draw?

I think the All-A tourney showed how a small gym creates a fiasco, the decision to move the tourney is the correct one.

You've got to be kidding me, Selby (#42) was stationary on his screens, the only problem was that the RH kids were bouncing off him, which he is used to since he plays NT on the football team. It was just a matter of his size and strength being in his advantage. But the Snyder foul was a full body block in which he lead with shoulder directly to Owens' shooting arm and your telling me that wasn't intentional??

Looked to me like he caught an elbow to the top of the head. he looked dazed and woozy from the hit.

At least we are in agreeance that the officiating was horrible both ways. The hit on Owens was more than a moving screen though, it was a delibrate cheap shot aimed at hurting him. It looked more like a hit you would see on the football field and not on a basketball court.
