Pikevilles tradition is one of the richest of not just the "P" schools but one of the richest in the entire state. Our fans are great just ask any team weve played at their house how well we travel. Our facilities are awesome and getting even better as we speak. Coach J has brought this program into the 21st century.

Chaz and Mitch both look pretty good. Our returning lineman look good they are Casey Rowe,Brad Bryant,Clay Elliott. Jordan Tibbs was injured lifting weights but i hear he'll be back by the time the season starts. This is looking like a great year.

Sheldon Clark is the up and coming team in the mountains this year.

Theyve looked pretty good to me so far, I expect a much improved team this season.

All I know is that they finished 2nd behind Scott Co. which is 4a. and there were like 20 or 30 other schools there.

Casey Rowe from Pikeville. Kid is an absolute monster. He won the LCA weight competition over the weekend in Lexington. The entire team finished 2nd overall.

Pikeville has some talent this year and the kids have worked harder in the weight room this year than any PHS team has in a long time. Expect some big things from us this year.

If the Vickers kid is back and stays healthy NCC will be back in the thick of things this year.

Congrats Coach Will!!!! With Bart and Coach J and Coach Lawson I think we have 3 of the best coaches in the state in their respective sports. Its an exicting time to be a Pikeville fan right now.

Lets face it folks, sports are supposed to teach us about life and in life we are Forced to make some tough decisions. Alot of kids are trying for scholorships to college in their sport of choice and for alot of these kids thats the only way they can get to college. And these kids are afraid of blowing their ride by getting hurt in another sport. So if these kids have to choose dont blame anyone. Its just the nature of sports doing its job which is teaching these kids about life.

If its only 4-5 in each district then definately it should only be 2 or 3. If 4 gets in then,essentialy a 1-9 team could get to the playoffs as long as that 1 win was a ditstrict win. I support this system but with fewer teams in each class there have to be fewer playoff seeds available for competitions sake. I understand a few upsets have happened but not many at all and this would give the teams more incentive to play harder.

Id go along with that, I havent heard if this is what there doing or not but i think they should have only 2 come out of each disrtict 3 at the most. Weve got too many 4 seeds with losing records the way it is now.

I didnt mean T-X, I was refering to these schools who are playing in lower classes than what they should be. If any one should feel like their state championships are hollow victories it these "Cherry Pickers" who couldnt compete in their own actual class anymore. Like I said before thats what IMO this is trying to eliminate. I dont agree with everything their proposing in this system but I believe that if the doubting thomases on here would really think about it it would make the teams better state wide in the long run. :thumb:

It doesnt seem to bother these schools that are playing in lower classes than they should be. When they win state they celebrate no less. Thats what this system is trying to eliminate IMO.

So do a standard home & home contract whats the big deal?

I dont think that would be a problem at all for teams to go and play at their top notch facilities they would jump at the chance and everyone knows that both teams travel exceptionally well so I dont think either would have a problem scheduling either home or away games.
