Montgomery County 63 Campbell County 53
memyselfandi replied to kysportsfan4life's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
I am not sure about stats but Campbell County shots just did not fall for them. If they would have made a couple of shots this game could have gone either way because with about 1:30 left in the game they had to start fouling. Montgomery County shot very well tonight. Congrats to Campbell County on a successful year. I know you all did not reach your final goal of making it to state but it has been fun to watch you all all year. Good luck to Montgomery County. On a side note. It would be nice to see the same support tonight for Campbell County during the regular season. -
Campbell County 48 Scott 41

One of the best girl's game I have seen in quite sometime. Campbell County coaching staff did an excellent job with their defensive scheme against Scott. Not alot of open shots for the Benzinger girl. I have to say that it is a little disappointing the lack of fan support for a championship game. Very few students showed up for either school compared to the boy's games last night. Good luck to both Campbell County and Scott in regionals. -

I agree a very big win for the Camels. Typical win for the Camels this year. -

I have heard that the boys are at BOK and the girl's are going to be at Harrison County. -

Just curious. Are the fans of Campbell County expecting to much from them? Are they that good of a team? -

100% agree. -
This is just for the Crosstown Shootout. It is through the Alexandria's Business Men's Organization (Can't think of the right name). I am not sure how much the scholarship is but any little bit of money for college students will help.

At Campbell County it is $5 for both adults and students. With that said they have a camel card that a student can buy for $40 and it is good for the whole school year and I think the adults are $70. People say that if you lower the game ticket prices for students you will get more students. At CC that just does not happen. Last year they sold tickets to a big game for $2 and they sold a total of 15 student tickets. For freshman games (even when there is a triple header basketball game) tickets are $3 for adults and $2 for students. Forgot to mention (hence the edit) that if you have a family of 3 - 6 people it is a total of $15 to get in and I think that is for all varsity games at Campbell County.

Trinity & St. X - What's the Point?

:thumb: Also, no one from X or T have really answered the question that someone asked before and that is, "How many of your football players play another sport?" I am also curious how many kids are in each football program at X and T? -

Boone vs. Campbell County is cancelled. I do not see the cancellations of games as overracting. Why would a school even want to risk the chance of not only the staff and refs safety but the kids and their families? It really is not necessary.

Paige Bowling, Taylor Griffin & Taylor Robinson (on this year's freshman team) all have been moved as 8th graders. I do not think the boy's team does it as much as the girl's team. -

WOW is all I can say to this post. I guess you have not seen the talent that has come through CC Girl's basketball the past couple of years? There are only I think 2 girl's that are left from this junior class that played TOGETHER as freshman (Brooks & Dumaine). As of right now you have 1 junior starting (Brooks), 2 sophomores starting (Zabonick and Miller) and then you have 2 freshman starting (Martin and Grey) for the JV. The others sitting on the bench would be all sophomores that probably wouldn't see varsity time as JUNIORS. So to put the blame on the old freshman coach is a bit ridiculous IMO. He did the best he could with what he had. These kids were NEVER coached/taught in the MS level. I also will say that I think there needs to be another coach at the freshman level at Campbell County on BOTH the girl's and boy's side. The boy's have been lucky that they have had some great talent come through where needing a 2nd coach to work on the basic skills was not needed as much as the girl's side has. If you look at the majority of the freshman teams that CC has played they have 2 coaches. IMO there is no way a coach can work with 12 - 15 players at the sametime on different skills. If you are so disgruntled with the way the basketball team is being handled and you seem to know alot about how to "coach" the game why don't you volunteer your time to make the program better? -

Class 6A: Trinity 48 Simon Kenton 0
memyselfandi replied to Birdsfan's topic in KY Football (High School)
I have seen plenty of college & NFL players take a knee when a player is being back boarded or seriously hurt. I am not saying it is disrespectful or not to take a knee because it doesn't matter either way to me. It sounds like the SK QB is OK which is good news. Haven't seen many say that. People are more worried about if a team took a knee or not. Lets not worry about that and lets worry about the injured athlete. -

I am curious in what you are saying here. I am not that up-to-date on which private schools are all boys, all girls or mix unless they are in the NKY area. How many of the schools in 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A & 5A are all private schools where it is all boys enrollment? I am going to go out on a limb and say if there was one or 2 all boys private school with the enrollment of X and T in NKY then maybe you would find a school that could compete with either one of these schools. Another question here, how many teams that won state were independent schools or private schools? -
Well other games were finishing up so that is why I said what I did. LOL
-
Why would it be to early for the final? SK runs the ball alot which keep the clock going.

I would say in NKY there is not much a difference in 6A from the 1 - 4 seed especially this year. -

Campbell Co 2008/2009
memyselfandi replied to gold sunrise's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
How can you say that? That is the most ridiculous comment saying a kid has no heart because they do not want to play basketball. Why is it not OK for these 2 athletes (Rebholz & Geiman) to concentrate on other sports? It has nothing to do with lack of heart but wanting to get better in the other sport(s) that they play. -

Yes this is correct. Should be a good game. Wasn't this a close game during the regular season?
