  1. So just curious, the almost 300 yards he put up against Boone in the 1st half says nothing about Boone's defense either huh? Hasn't he put up over 200 yards against every NKY 6A school this year? CC has struggled mightly this year. They have had a lot of injuries and are very young. 14 seniors and 2 of them were lost after the 3rd game of the year, one was lost last year with a career ending knee injury and the other player was lost midway through the season for the year. This team will rebound next year. They have a very good sophomore and junior class. Good luck to Miles Simpson and his future!!!
  2. This goes to any kid but I have to agree mpapa on this where he says stay in the coach's ear. Also have him/her write an interest letter to the coach stating that they are interested in their school, their major and a LITTLE about them. It can be about half a page long. It can be the same letter that they write to every college they are interested. The coaches then will send an information package to him/her and there will be a questionnaire. Have them fill out and send it back in right away. Make sure they send their CC/Track schedule to the coach once it is complete. The key word is CONTACT CONTACT CONTACT.
  3. Not to high jack the thread but I am sure their football team who is ranked 5th in the country is saying the samething. I think UC has alot to offer. It has to start somewhere and if these 2 players even though they are young could help this program become nationally ranked then I would hope they would as me being a UC fan.
  4. I have to agree with you on this one, I was thinking the samething yesterday.
  5. HA HA HA, that is funny. I agree with Boon I might have had to kick the kid off my team.
  6. Campbell County might be a let down for you but if you look at their roster they are very young. They only start at the most 6 seniors on both sides of the ball. In one game they lost Zak Koeninger (starting middle LB and tackle) and Andrew Eshman (starting WR, kick returner and long snapper) for the season that is alot to lose because they were both leaders on BOTH sides of the ball. Campbell County has been bit by the injury bug very badly this year. Also, look at their size. They are not big at all. Not trying to make excuses but look at the injuries, their ages, and their size and really you would see that it would be hard for Campbell County to be successful this year. Additionally, Campbell County had alot out tonight due to discipline reasons. All 4 that were out were starters as well.
  7. Sorry to say but even when the program was not struggling people were still complaining about Mr. Rose. People are always going to complain about him.
  8. I am right there with you. Sometimes I wish he would just call the game and then when Campbell County gets a 1st down then he can say and that is a Campbell County 1st down like he does now. I just think he talks way too much. Good Luck to the Camels tonight!!! Hopefully, both teams come out healthy.
  9. I think you are right on this. A long time ago before NCC was co-ed they used to have a girl's school and it was OLP (Our Lady of Providence I think) Their mascot was dOLPhins I just think it is just a play on the letters like you said.
  10. From what I have been told Campbell County I think had 4 turnovers.
  11. Are you talking about CCHS or CCH position players? I am a bit confused. I know someone had mentioned about CCH being 40% sophomores but then you mentioned CCHS QB who played LB last year.
  12. WOW, only 14 pts. for CCHS. They put 31 up on a good Roger Bacon team.
  13. If you go here: http://www.campbellcountyfootball.com/ (scroll down) you will see exactly what Coach Styer says about Cov. Cath. This team is not looking pass Cov. Cath. I think they (Campbell Co.) will come out and play a very good game (I hope they do).
  14. I have to agree with you on this one. I have to say that this was one of the better high school games I have seen in quite sometime. There was good offense and defense and some good hits.
  15. OK, well from the horses mouth she says she is 100%.
  16. She is 100% healthy. She only wears the wrap for precaution.
  17. Playing high competitive fast pitch and coaching in college there is no reason why the kids should have any problems adjusting to 43 feet. You just can't pick up a ball on Feb. 15 and expect to pitch at 43 feet. You have to work at it. Pitchers should be pitching year round if it is 1 or 2 days a week they should ALWAYS be pitching. I do not care how good or bad they are it should be done.
  18. I agree. My point was someone said this earlier, "Wonder if Highlands is re-thinking their coaching change?" and my point is you can't blame Whitney for everything. She or any coach can only coach the girl's to the best of their ability and they have to apply it. If she has not prepared them for play then sure blame her but knowing people who have played for her they have always been well prepared for their matches.
  19. I had a friend goto the Campbell Co./Highlands match and she said Highlands was making some dumb errors. If they are coached right and I know they are by Whitney, I am not sure you can blame her for the dumb errors if they have been coached correctly. I am curious, did Highlands lose alot of seniors last year?
  20. I think Whitney will do a fantastic job at Highlands. I think the girls have to get used to her coaching style and the way she wants them to play. I saw Highlands scrimmage in the preseason and to me it looked like they were making stupid errors that could be fixed. Like I always say, "On a given day and team can be beaten." Maybe Highlands just had an off day and maybe Lloyd played a match of their season. You never know.
  21. 2 positives for Ashland are #34 & 21 (those were their jersey #s for the scrimmage not sure of their names). #34 had some really good runs.
