  1. Campbell County had put in their 2 and 3's late in the 3rd or early in the 4th. I cannot remember.
  2. I hope everything goes well with your son and he has a 100% recovery. I am confident with Dr. Colosimo being his doctor he will get the best care available. He is so wonderful with the athletes he sees.
  3. I know exactly what a compound fracture is and this was NOT a compound fracture.
  4. Please do not post wrong information. A compound fracture is when the bone breaks the skin. This did not happen with Logan.
  5. I have heard this same comment from many parents who were at the game. For those players who were there supporting the freshman team I think it shook them up as well. I did not see the injury on the field but I heard it was a very ugly injury for anyone to see. From what I have heard the prognosis is good for this player.
  6. I am not taking anything away from the Highlands team because I heard they played a very good game but I do know once the CC player had went down with his injury it deflated Campbell County. I would have to say this was probably the worst injury they had ever seen.
  7. Something I forgot to say in my original post. These kids are playing with a lot of emotion this year and they are dedicating this season to Woody Johnson. If you ask me Woody was there last night with these kids. Campbell County did win by 43 which was Woody's number. Norwood is having a down year but Campbell County played very very well. I think they only had one turnover which was a fumble.
  8. I was thinking the same thing as you, .50 is very inexpensive, however if you think say 1 1/2 months worth for lets say 100 football players (freshman, JV, Varsity) and lets add soccer and middle school football this could cost a lot of money. I guess what I am not sure about is, are these patches a one time use or can they be used over? If they can be used over and over again than there is no reason why any athlete does not have them on however, if they are a one time use thing it could be expensive.
  9. Why wouldn't they let Siple do what he was hired to do? I agree with you it does not matter what they day as a freshman class but I think this team will be better than they were last year.
  10. HOLY SMOKES that is not even a quarter of the coaches!!! Not a very good representation IMO.
  11. I do not think that has anything to do with the lack of development of players in the leagues. Plus could he even coach the girl's during the summer? My understanding is no but I could be wrong. Obviously you are going to spin it to make it look bad but why don't you ask those who played for him and see how they liked him and what they learned? Have you done this yet? Have you asked the umpires the improvement in their team from the beginning of the year to the end? They lacked a strong pitcher. They had a 7th or 8th grader starting and even though she could hit spots there was not much power behind the pitch. This would have been a whole different team if Zabonick could have hit her spots at the beginning of the year and did not quit. But I guess it is easier to blame the coach.
  12. Congrats to Miller. It is always nice to keep in the 10th region. I do have to say one thing though about the top 5 coaches (I should I say 4) someone brought up on this thread. All 4 teams which were mentioned all had good pitching which makes the team look better especially in the NKY area where fast pitch is still in the developmental stages, especially in Campbell County. It will always be in developmentally stages until the league realizes to get rid of the slow pitch in their rec leagues and start these kids playing fast pitch (and I am not talking about the younger kids pitching until they are 8 or 10 years old). There are quite a few coaches out there where umpires said how much teams improved from game 1 to game 10 or whatever game you put out there. Some teams just did not have the pitching like the ones which were mentioned but their teams improved greatly. To me this shows how good a coach really is and I mean THE HEAD COACH.
  13. I am not sure who the coach is but she has already been hired about 2 weeks ago.
  14. Please do not assume I would not give Brossart credit. They had a very good team this year but I still think Conner had a better team. Also, BigGreenHorse, you forgot to mention Brossart lost to Scott in the District Final tournament.
  15. I think a lot of the diehard fans do. It still is a good money maker especially for the team who is hosting it. Heck, I am not even a diehard fan and I think having them at the high schools is a good idea.
  16. In my opinion for those who are hosting the tournament can make some money for their programs from concessions. I am not sure, IMO why they (the coaches or whomever votes for it) why they would vote to move it to a neutral site. Plus I have to agree with jahearme, I enjoy going to different places I just wish the region's schools were a little bit closer like the the 9th were.
  17. After seeing every team play in NKY I would have to go with Conner being the #1 team in NKY. In my opinion they are the most fundamentally sound team and from 1 - 9 in the lineup they are solid. Not to mention they have a great pitcher.
  18. I was thinking about him too. Haven't seen him around lately.
  19. He removed himself from the board a year or so ago due to a disagreement on here.
  20. I am not sure who your insiders are but I would ask Code why he was fired do not take the "insiders" information.
  21. Do not making into a "recruiting" thing. The way I understand it was, there are a couple of kids on the team right now who chose Campbell County over a couple of other high schools to play for Coach Code. There are other schools Campbell County kids can go to.
