  1. My bad. Hit wrong key. Russell got the lose but played good to get ready for districts. Alzimer kicking early.
  2. Good W for the Red Devils. Russell stepped up there game. Good job by Vanhoose. Good game to get ready for districts on. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  3. Don't take it to heart. But I should have known that anybody that is freinds w/Tubby can see no wrong in a coaches decision. Look at what Tubby has done to our Cats this year. NIT bound at the best. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  4. Is it late night in Raceland? I knew it was coming from both of you. Put yourself in the players Nikes You are a Senior, Bleed Orange & Black, as Statmaster says, done your bench time as an underclassman, waited for your time to start, plays hard, never quits, always gives 100%. And then you are one of the 1st to be pulled every time. Sometime only playing 12,13,15,17 minutes a game. If the subs are that good. Maybe they should start? I have watched a few games and even you 2 know that more than one player has off nights. Do the other players lose playing time when they have bad games. Remember 1 game this season when a player on the team had 9 turnovers and made only 1-2 shots, but played at least 30 -31 minutes of the 32. As you can see I bleed Maroon & Gold. As you can see in the Region, a lot of players have quit on their teams this season, mine included. I know the Rams players consider themselves a tight group and respect each other and they play all sports together. I have talked to some of the players and even they are confused sometimes as to what is going on. I hope the Rams do get it going by the 28th. Cause I know these players worked hard all year. You 2 know, no hard fellings, I was just wondering, as are a lot of people, why the same player is taken out all the time. I even saw at the Russell game, that the coach forced 1 player off the bench, because of the players attitude during the game. This incident didn't seem to effect this players future playing time. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  5. Why is it that some of the better shooters spend so much time on the bench? Is it a coincidence that this 4 game losing streak is happening at the same time that the bench players are playing more minutes? The people that sit around me wonder what is going on with this team we they see underclassman playing more minutes than some of the starters. Haven't these Seniors earned there playing time yet? 37 pts. is just pittiful. It does no good to hold an opponent to a low score if your team can't score more than them. I understand that you have to use your bench, but they should not play more than the starters. You have to let your players get loose and into the game before being pulled out. This team was rolling along with all the starters contributing equally. But know it seems the coaches what to try something new. Hope the Rams can pull it together to make a run for the district. If not My Devils will run them off the floor. Lets take the THUMB of the players and give them a chance. I know TBF and Statmaster are going to tell me to mind my own business, and worry about my Devils, but I've got connection with both teams, and believe me I'm not the only one with these thoughts just enough guts to mention it. Come on RAMS get it together. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  6. Good win for the Devils. Nice to see other players step up and assume there role. Bench playing early in the season is beginning to pay off. Good game for Blair and good to see Gill stepping up his game. Got to get physical inside. Get ready or district play. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  7. D. T. is going to play at WV tech. should sign in a few weeks. Any others haven't heard. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  8. I agree with Blue Blazer. Kasey should be a serious contender next year. He will be a Senior. If we can get the focus off NK and look at the whole state I don't see how they can not take a close look at Kasey. Go Devils :fire: :fire: :fire:
  9. The Devils are beginning to turn the curve. They are playing very well and this Fri will be a good test to get ready for Boyd Co. We all said once they all get healthy. The Devils will be a team to make a good run to The Sweet 16. Keep yourself focused Red Devils. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  10. Good win for the Devils. Does anybody have the stats. Time to start playing your best game going into Feb. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  11. Agree Rams got the win and congrates. But I would secure the win before you start the subing. How can a team or player get in any kind of rythem when you start subing so early. If this kid can not press maybe he don't need to start. You have the stats Statmaster. Look them up. This kid is a solid player and plays strong defense. Just questioning. See you at the next game. Nope I will be in Rowan Co. for the Devils next game.
  12. Russell would gain nothing playing Raceland. But before the realignment of the district. I know that Russell had 1 opening for many years and the Rams did NOt want any part of it. But Russell would gain nothing playing a 1A school. I guess we forgot that we were 3A for many years. Enough football. It's basketball season. I was not bashing Raceland. Got a lot of respect for the Ramblers. I was just wonder on some of the tactics and subs from the coach. The kid they took out only 56 sec into the game is a solid player. If anything you take out your slower player if you are going to press from the start. This game should have been over at the tip off.
  13. Understand setting up the press after a FT which has cost the Rams some games. But the player they took out is quicker on defense and hardly ever turns the ball over. And by the way. It was the starters in the 4th Qtr that took the game over to secure the win. Bath Co keep the game close and got within 2. The Pre-Season #1 if I remember got the "W" with bench players over the Ramblers. Coming off a State Champs Football season and starters not even on the floor due to sickness & etc..... Count your state title ? Thought this would be a better game and they need all the support they can get. Plus got ties to both schools. :fire: :fire: :fire: But the Rams got the win
  14. Good game by Sparks kid inside the paint he must have had 20pts. This game should have been a blow out by the Rams. Very confused with the substitution rotation of the starters. One starter didn't even play 1 min ( 56 sec) before beng pulled. The Rams benched struggled and they didn't take over the game until the staters came back in the game in the 4th qtr. From what I've seen. Maybe the wrong guard gets pulled to much. My Red Devils could use him on Dodd Squad. But it's a W for the Rams. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  15. Where is Walton Verona School. E- Ky or W- Ky Interested possible scheduling 6 - 8
  16. It's hard to believe. But it is possible. What kinda of control does this kid have? Most kids at this age with this kind of speed has very little control and bad location. They either walk ya or hit ya. Hope it's for real. Cause the Reds won't look at him if it is ?????? That could be a good thing.
  17. This will be a good match up. Yes Owens is good but with Barker and his pestering D-Fence could get him out of rythem. This could contain him to maybe 25 on the night. Fairview looks real good right know and has got some depth, and there inside presence will be the deciding factor. Russell proved that Owens can be slowed down some what. Gotta Go with them Eagles. Fairview 58 Boyd Co. 51 :fire: :fire: :fire:
  18. Russell shold be at 95% fro this game. Blair is still not 100 %. Casey should be in the lineup. If Russell can get it's inside game to play physical and look for the inside out game. Gill & Lavender need to make a presence and play physical. They should be OK. Ashland is starting to gel together as a team but I think Russell will prevail. Russell 48 Ashland 45 :fire: :fire: :fire:
  19. Good win for the RAMS. 63% ??????? come on Statmaster. Who keeps your books? What kind of team is Union Co? Your coming to Russell. D-Fence will be the factor. Russell is starting to show signs of healing. Could be the night to sacrifice a Ram? See ya Tues. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  20. Good WIN. Devils are coming around. Can't wait to see them all healthy. Way to GO RED DEVILS.
  21. Good job Rams. Has Raceland improved that much or is Rowan Co. down this year? :fire: :fire: :fire:
  22. Good job Rams. All I am saying is no matter what sport. I have seen very poor sportmanship from RH coaches, not players, and I have been an official while they were playing and been to some games while they where playing and it is usually the same. Refs Refs Refs Give us a break. Play the game and be positive or put on some black & white strips. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  23. Russell has not had all starters YET. In time they will be a team to reckon with. Hopefully after the Christmas break. They can get on track and Blair will be ready to go. :fire: :fire: :fire:
  24. Good win for the Rams. Typical RH style. :jump: Evidently this coach has never had to Ref any kind of sport.
  25. Russell has one of the best feeder programs in the system. Good to hear that someone recognize that it all starts in your feeder program. These volunteers work hard at Russell JFL program and it shows on friday nights. It does the coaches good to see kids they coached on the field on Friday nights. Russell JFL is a class act program and I know the Russell coaching staff appreciate it. Hats off to all the volunteers that have worked so hard in the Russell JFL program to make it what it is today.
