All you can do is beat the teams that are on your schedule.... There's a pretty good reason for Fairlane's record..... They've played some pretty good teams over there in Ohio..... As far as a weak schedule, Sheldon Clark has never dodged anyone.... You can take that to the bank.... We've always scheduled good teams.... In a normal year, Lawrence Co., P-Burgh, Belfry, etc. wouldn't be considered a weak schedule... We play the cards as they're dealt to us and make no apologies to no one... BTW, what team do you support? But, you're right, the tougher the schedule, the better your team will play in the post season....

Believe me, you don't have to worry about that with a Matney coached team..... Just like Sheldon Clark and Hager, neither coach will let their players rest on their past game..... I used to worry about Matney when he was at Sheldon Clark, then I learned to trust the man and just enjoy football the way it's supposed to be played......

Great job by those Cards over in Martin Co..... They are for real...... Belfry vrs SC would be a great game, but I think this year the Cards beat Belfry, if they meet in the post season...... Their regualr season meeting, where is it played at? If they play at the Rock, then I think Belfry goes home with a loss....

As a Card fan I agree 100%.... The Mountain Sports Reporters have always been generous to our team here at Sheldon Clark and all the teams in Eastern Kentucky…. I know Belfry has received a lot of attention from the MSR…. Their station is the only one I will watch now and being 52 years old, I grew up watching WSAZ 3.... It was the only station we had at the time and they were very good, IMO… Nothing against that station, but the Mountain station that we have now is twice as nice… Just the better station for Eastern Kentucky... They are professional from top to bottom and I tip my hat to those people who do the hiring for Sports Overtime…. We say goodbye to one reporter, that we like will well and they seem to never miss a beat with the next one they hire… Someone there knows talent… Anyway, congrats to them and I hope them the best in the future... BTW, have you got any pull that will help Sheldon Clark win Friday night?... Just kidding…. Everything I said is true guys.... :thumb:

I give the edge to the Cards, they are peaking at the right time..... They believe in themselves and I do too... SC 21 Belfry 20 BTW, If my prediction doesn't turn out, which I think it will, :thumb: I will be pulling for the Pirates to go all the way.... I have to go with our neighbor to the east in Pike County, they like us, play a smash mouth game... No denying that... Proof? Look who's still in the playoffs?...

With all due respect, I think you're wrong, but you've been wrong before during these playoffs.... These SC boys remind me a lot of the Detroit Pistons...... They have heart and the last half of that game last night at LC proves that..... Sheldon Clark will not look at the past history of Belfry…. Good coaches won’t let that happen…. .... Their Coach won't allow this, just as Matney wouldn’t allow that to happen at JC.... The game is won at the line of scrimmage and SC will win that battle every game, if they don’t make mistakes…..Take away a couple of turnovers and SC could have easily won their last game with Belfry…. If we can keep down turnovers we will come away with a win at Pond Creek... We've beaten them before deep in the playoffs (at Pond Creek) and I see no reason why we can't beat them again.... BTW, this isn't the same team that won the state last year, or the year before.... That team has earned respect, but it's history...... I guess we'll see, SC has had to prove themselves every game this year, I don't see any reason why it would change now..... One last thing, If Sheldon Clark does stumble, I will be a Belfry fan the rest of the year…. I’ve been so proud that this district has won the state championship the last two years…. After saying that, it’s time they move over and let another district team win the title….

Sorry, but if you expect Sheldon Clark to fall down on their knees because you have Belfry written on your jersey, you're sadly mistaken.... You guys didn't play the same Sheldon Clark team that you will play Friday..... You just have to wait to see for yourself what I’m talking about…. These guys are on a roll and in a zone.... I don't care to say this because, there will be plenty of Belfry fans saying the same thing about their football team.....So, I know if any of Sheldon Clarks players read this, they will see plenty of post saying the opposite of what I’m saying…. I think SC’s coach will have their total attention this week…..So, they will be ready to play, regardless of what we fans think and say…. Just as I said last week end, fear Sheldon Clarks line.... You Belfry linemen know what I'm talking about..... If you want see smash mouth football, be at Pond Creek this Friday.... I hope I can get there....... BTW, the SC/Belfry game was much closer than the score indicated last game..... I pick Sheldon Clark to walk away from Pond Creek a winner Friday night..... Not to mention they beat Tim Couch and Leslie CO. at the Rock in Inez...... Great game... I was standing five yards away from Couch as he tried to bootleg a run in on fourth down and goal..... He was stopped on the 2 yard line.... SC has always had a tough D.... I even tried to recruit Tim to UK.... Hey Tim, where are you going to go to college? Kentucky? "I've not made up my mind yet, sir".... A real polite young man.... He will always be one of my favorite cats....

That's what all teams say about SC before they play them... Our line is as big as theirs...... I think Leslie CO. fans & team will be saying the same thing that other teams that have played SC are saying after the game, those guys are the toughest line that we‘ve faced.... I think Sheldon Clark has an all state kid on their line….. You will find out what his number is Friday Sheldon Clark wins this one....
