I think that cut blocking should be legal period, it is legal in college and the pros it is a way that smaller player can find success. As far as using in a shotgun offense most refs tell me if the cut starts on the snap of the football the cut block is legal. if a player steps back or forward before he begans cutting it is illegal, that is the way it was explained in all the games I was involved in this year.

The good thing about the bourbon job is that you can only go up. There is no chance of going down any farther.

Who does your team scrimmage in 06?
oldonetechnique replied to MountainThunder's topic in KY Football (High School)
Franklin county- Woodford co, Dunbar. -
Franklin county allows both 7th and 8th graders to lift with the varsity, they are encouraged to participate, from what I hear the flyers carry about 15, 7 and 8 graders on a conistent basis in the off-season. The kids lift just like a varsity kid except they are supervised alot more and use light weights.

I don't honestly thing anyone will have a break out season and make a run for mr. football the winner of this award usually has a pretty good level of noteirity before their senior season.

Russell 2006 will they make it two?
oldonetechnique replied to RussellRedDevil09's topic in KY Football (High School)
I think Russell is a really good team with the ability to repaet, but they didn't exactly blow out alot of people in the post season, add that with the bullseye and I don't think they will repeat probably will make it to the final 8 or 4 but someone will knock them off. -
3A: 2004 Highlands vs. 2005 LexCath
oldonetechnique replied to jbwill2's topic in KY Football (High School)
I have played against both teams last year and this year, and I believe Highlands of 04 would have had their way with this years Lex. Cath. team. HHS of o4 too good, too fast, too smart, they would have beaten down this years lex cath in all phases. -

I enjoyed watching this game Russell is a good running team #24 is a stud and I thought your middle linebacker #52 was tough. I thought you guys looked to be in a lot better shape that the aces and were able to play physical the whole game, congrats to the players and coaches on winning. I thought Catholic knew how to throw the football???????????? Looked like to me the were trying to run the sweep all night. -

I wonder if anyone would have cared if the kid was a lineman or a defensive player? -
Rah Rah is what highschool sports is all about for most people until the kids start getting payed to play it will probably remain that way on this level. Nothing like people who live and die by their school no matter what, that is one of the reasons our sport attracts so many fans and what makes the game so great.

Burke Wins it, Hands down in my opinion, I think this kid is a better player on a better team, and more of a leader, he also has alot of intangibles. I think Johnson Lost it with his ejection and the loss to Ocath.

No one can cover #19, even if they do, he will out muscle them, out jump them what ever it takes. I have a good freind of mine that played TE in the NFL last year, he looked last year like #19 looks today.

Deuce when did band members get to tour The FC facilities? Just because someone has nicer facilities than FHS doesnt mean they are nice. I would have to say that FHS has some of the worst facilities in the area.
