From what I seen Franklin County had the best clean form as a team, with wester hills also having good form, some of the other teams were creative with their form. Other good cleans FROM FCHS: Willie Smither with 255 Nate Newland- 275 Jon Watkins- 240

Wheat 255 clean was easily completed, 260 Bench easily completed also at 160 lbs. Ben Revere I think benched 275 at 155, and his clean was close to 250 I am not sure. Fanofthe 11th Franklin county was missing several of its top lifters, wrestler Jeremy Barnett and Austin Jones would have place in the top 2 of their weight classes in the varsity and Aaron Mayes would have won the JV heavy wieght. Ammons would have easily took second in his class also, Chris hogan another b-ball guy also would have possibly placed, with that being said most schools were probably in the same boat.

This Competition Consisted of all the teams in there 3a football district. Varsity- 1st place Lexington Catholic 2nd Place Franklin County, 3rd Place East Jessamine Junior Varsity- 1st place LEx. Cath. 2nd place Franklin County, 3rd Place Harrison co. Some strong kids especially with most team just getting back in the weight room. Jeffrey wheat from Franklin county was very impressive along with Ben Revere from Lex. Catholic Western Hills also had 3 to 4 very strong kids.

Travis Whitley what was his number, I think Franklin County has 4 or 5 d-lineman better than him, that would make him #6 in the state I guess.

How about that Bullit East team what do they have coming back, will they have enough to keep Boyle and Bowling green at home.

Well I am not sure who said what in the last few posts but I will tell you that Lex. Cath's District is far from weak, Franklin County, Harrison County will make some noise in anyones district in 3a. East Jessamine and West Jessamine are no slouch either.

There is no limit to the amount of money in springboro, that is one reason he could be considering it. I would say there are some serious $$$$ on the table.

I am guessing they will be down compared to the last few years.

Coach B not only are you talented you are a dedicated fan to follow up with the Cable 10 crew. All ribbing aside sounds like FHS is improving.

Gary McDowell was the last coach to win games at rowan county and also took a few teams to the playoffs. He is a great coach and motivator, if he was to get the job he might be able to take the program up a few notches and the community of Morehead might be a little happier with him now that Lowes has moved into town. Is there a new superintendent in Rowan Co.? Would Mcdowell take the job.

You guys must be dang talented to be watching a game so closely and see what amount of time is left at exactly the right moment. Sounds like FHS couldn't get it done with the time left. Maybe someone should have stopped Keene from sinking that 3 that would have made the game less likely to be stolen! Kinda like a security deposit.

Why do so many kids keep transferring out of LC? I have heard of a lot of kids quitting or not coming to weights at some schools but just flat leaving what is going on?

Maybe they should try 1a I think they would do well in that division also.

Every 3a team in the state would do better if they were in 2a since they are a bigger school. On a side not Western Hills in Frankfort has a lower enrollement right now than several 2a schools around the state.

Too bad that for the majority of the state and the KHSAA membership anything other than Prop 20 is a compromise.

So it is safe for a 150 lb kid to have to block head on a 270 lb division 1 athlete? I don't think so. I believe that if the technique is taught correctly on how to cut block and how to defend yourself it is all the same. I don't really see a reason for it in the open feild but i believe on the line it should be completely legal. JMO. Hey-Ref I think I know you? PM me.
